To boldly go where no image generator has gone before!
This was generated by Google Gemini 2.0 Flash Image Generation Experimental.
What's special about this??
First of all it's free!
Second of all, THAT'S the real image of the mini pc in the picture!! I just uploaded the image and it put it in the picture
People have complained since image generation began that even if you give it an image and swear up and down that there is no copyright issues? It won't use the exact image anyway. Gemini does!
Did I mention it's free??
You need to google google ai studio, set up an account and then you can generate images for free!
Probably not unlimited amount, but these images are great!
Have fun,
Michael

I have been playing with Gemini Flash the last couple of days and must say it is a bit more accurate than most I have tried.
Hi Michael,
I have a parenting site and asked Gemini 2.0 Flash Image Generation Experimental for a leapfrog computer for small children and it created what looks like a perfect leapfrog image. (Since there are so many leapfrog models out there, I didn't check whether it was an exact image of a current model, but it's perfectly good enough for my purpose).

I found that you can give it an existing image and it will produce a pretty good image. Where it struggled was I wanted 4 monitors in this image and it either gave me 3 or 6. So I took the triple monitor image into canva and added the fourth
Yes, they aren't great with numbers. I asked Grok for an image of 5 little ducks swimming on a pond (for the nursery rhyme) and it kept giving me 4 or 6 or 7. I did finally get 5 after the 3rd attempt. It always gives you two images at the time. The unfortunate thing is that some of the images with the wrong number actually had sweeter looking ducklings.
I will keep experimenting.
Excellent Michael, and GPT 4o image generation is something else as well. See an image generated using that. It's absolutely impressive.
Generative AI imagery is moving fast, and getting better fast!
I tried GPT 4o. I was a little disappointed in that I could not download it. Maybe just a glitch with the mac, but when I tried to download it it was always trying to download it as a webpage?
I know I could use screenshot then edit, but... really??
But it looks like it fixed the biggest problem with low end image generation, gibberish text!
I can download GPT 4o images onto my computer, but I cannot upload the image into my blogs on Site Content. It just fails to 'see' it in my downloads.
So @Kyle, don't laugh, well OK laugh because I'm laughing at myself.
I literally asked GPT to create an image. That's broken.
I didn't know (until I saw it in a Julian Goldie video) that I was supposed to click on the three dots and select "create image". Once I did that, it was downloadable.
Isabella it’s because it’s in webp format. There is a little drop-down in the lower right corner of the file dialog that you can change to “all files” then you’ll see it
