Pinterest to Affinity and beyond: Making Pinterest work better
There was a post a few days ago about leveraging audience preferences in Pinterest. I explored this and discovered some interesting stuff I would like to share
So pinterest shows what percentage of your audience is interested in certain categories and stuff in those categories. It shows two things. First the percentage of people who are interested in it. Second, the affinity of the audience to that topic.
What the heck is affinity? "Affinity indicates how interested this audience is in this topic compared to the pinterest-wide audience"
OK, so if you find an interest where the majority of a large audience is interested in and you can tie it into your topic? You have a way to attract more people!
For instance, my topic is mini computers. In the subtopic of home decor, I see the vast majority of my audience is interested in that. And within that, they are interested in storage and lighting. And lighting? They are three times more interested in that then the typical pinterest viewer.
So what if I could create a threat that talks about how you can improve storage and lighting using mini pcs?? That would be great!
Hope this helps someone!
Michael

Does Art have subcategories? I am very interested to know that art is very general and covers too much. I remember that photography was in the top 1 in the WA training class because it is about vision. Thanks.

Thanks for sharing, Michael. I'll have to dig deeper into my audience's interests.
