A look back on 2024
This is really a look back on December as you will see. the blog, YouTube and Pinterest all woke up in December
First, it makes sense to concentrate on the one mini computer niche for now. I only have so much time and it's working so. Here we go!
As I posted previously, Google Search has revived my blog:
This happened when three things were going on. First, I was posting 2 posts a day to the blog. Second, I started a new subniche that has a lot of potential. Third, I doubled down on YT with 2-3 videos a week.
Here is a closer view of that increase in Google. It shows I went from no clicks/impressions to about 5-10 clicks a day and around 500 impressions.
But what about Bing? Bing's algorithm is different from Google. But it also saw a huge jump due to the addition of the new subniche:
Bing was doing better than Google for sure as we were getting some clicks, but with the addition of the new subniche it saw a bump as well.
And YouTube. That's going in the right direction. Not as fast as I'd like, but it's certainly encouraging. I wasn't able to repeat the success of the last video with the current one, but I need to keep trying:
At this rate it should be monetizable by mid 2025. I should have 500 subscribers sometime next month. I could have 4000 hours of view time by April or May.
Social Media is starting to show some promise as well. I have automated posts going to pinterest, facebook and LinkedIn.
Here is what Pinterest looks like. I started the automated campaign in November and am supplementing it with some manual scheduling now:
Not huge, but it has potential. My cybersecurity channel has 4 times the traffic, so I know this automated scheme will work.
I also published my first book. I decided to put future books on hold and focus on the niche for the rest of 2025.
Ok but what about money? I have been getting paid by Amazon since earlier this year. I need to expand that to other affiliates as well.
So did I make my goal of breaking even. Not yet. But getting close. I think a lot of this is tuning, improving and expanding.
So here's to 2024 in the books. Now to 2025!

Yes! I just saw a post that my wp analytics said got over 100 views in 3 days. Not sure it's right but clarity says 68, so it's a big number for a post that has only been out for 8 days. So I asked Chat for ideas to make this into a pillar post. 4 new posts are being generated as we speak; the fifth one is hardware so I need to do a little more research before I push the button.

You deserve it, you have worked your butt off to get there and I hope I can at least match you in 2025.
