Is it ADD or am I Drowning in The Sea of Keywords

I guess I have to vent. Maybe I am reaching out for encouragement?. Maybe I am feeling inadequate with my knowledge of how to apply the keywords once I get them lined up. However I tend to be getting bogged down with these tasks. Either I am having some ADD tendencies with the search tool, or it is a natural progression to click on the results of some of the searches. When I do then it leads me to all the related websites that are posting on google. Then I think hmmmm there seems to be a lot of competition on this topic. I am not even a master on the subject of the niche I am interested in.

So then I go further into reading their sites related to my interests..... low and behold I have wandered and not found my own list of keywords at all. I come away scratching my head and wonder? How the heck am I going to compete with the Practitioners and Masters of the subject when I feel like such a beginner just searching keywords?

How do you stay focused on finding your own keywords when it still seems like I have mountains to learn?.. I don't want any of this to deter me. I think OK... I need more lessons on the keywords. I hoped today to attend a webinar about building content I am sure the basis of it is remembering keywords, here comes the obstacles.. the webinar wouldn't load. Solution. I look for topic and alternate lessons on keywords.

I end up on someones site promoting Jaaxy. which I have used a bit and also play with the premium site tool for members. Jaaxy appeals to me more, however I am not ready to spend more $ yet just to utilize a more functional level of keyword tool.

So I read articles and look back over a lesson linking from this guys site to Kyle teaching the A B C searching tricks of keywords/ I think I am grasping things slowly. I think I am making progress.

Questions keep coming up in my mind. Suppose I list a bunch of low competition keywords. OK then when I use them in content while writing related topic I guess that means the more low competition keywords I build into content will eventually help me to rank? So long as I continue to blog regularly incorporating these keywords? but changing them up.

I hear the more quality content you have, the more google will find your blogs IF you somehow get ranked. Question. How do you tell what your ranking is? Lets say for example you search for your own website ex mine www.fengshuizest.com... and I put that exact site url into the google search field.. and it of course lists my site and then lists additional links with my own articles within my site, individually. I think cool... perhaps I am ranking.

I then see each of the titles of content that I have added so far. At the top of the page it says. (47 results) but lists numerous links of mine as a result of that search effort. does the number 47 mean I ranked? or does it mean there are 47 additional topics?

I suppose I experimented with my website name (as if it were a search term). It's fun as a newbie to see your stuff come up in the seach field of google BTW.

Then I wonder? maybe It isn't me ranking by keywords at all yet. Maybe I am confusing indexing with ranking? Has anyone ever been as confused as I am. lol

Well, if it is ADD, feel free to head over to my profile and visit my site. I have severe ADHD and my entire website is centered around the topic. And I'm being serious, not about selling you this or that. Even if it's just needing some help with focus and/or motivation. Some days are like that...believe me, I can completely understand. This whole week has felt like it at times, but head up and things will come together. Take it one step at a time, take action and try not to pull yourself in too many directions at once.

Thanks Howard. I actually have checked out your site http://focushereandnow.com and it is great. I spent a good amount of time reading a few of your pages. I agree with non pharmaceuticals. I tend to get ADD symptoms when tired and not attending to proper nutrition. I used to even post images on my fridge and list at least 1/2 a doz brain foods to remember to eat them.
I love the nutritional aspects of treatment and knowing that their are natural supplements to enhance our brain function. I used to live in the States and had a friend who turned me on to the knowledge by PBS where they'd have Dr Daniel Amen promoting his knowledge and books on brain health, He is quite the specialist. Apparently many conditions respond to the right nutritional supplements. He has an institute in Tacoma which allows those who can take advantage of Brain Image Scanning, to know the 'kind' of brain we have. Basically he coins the term, Change your Brain, Change your Life. I never invested in his books, yet would have appreciated reading more. He listed diet plan. Apparently many conditions can be improved, based on the quality and foods. Walnuts, broccoli, avacadoe, wild caught salmon were great power foods. Ide even eat for breakfast. Great topic.. Glad to know their is a site such as yours. You mentioned the nootropics ( I think that is what you named the product) natural supplements to enhance focus and brain power etc.... They sound interesting. Thanks for stopping by... and the topic.

Hey, sorry I am just seeing this now and thank you for the awesome response and suggestions on those resources! I have been very hard at work and have a whole new look and some exciting things coming to the site very soon. Nootropics and natural brain supplements are incredibly interesting and not only a topic that I have discussed, but one that I have engaged in some very thorough research about and have a ton of amazing things coming to the site in the near future. Thanks for checking it out and I would love to hear more from you and hope to speak again soon. All the best!

The webinare will be uploaded so you can access it later.

It is neither ADD nor drowing. It is called growing pains. I had the same issues but did not know how to articulate them, so I just keep on working on my site. Good luck!

Thanks for the perspective Kenester. If it's growing pains I guess I should be happy I am growing. Definitely out of my comfort zone with loads of questions coming up about it. Sometimes I am impatient and want all the answers NOW.. I'll keep at it. In two months time I might look back and realise it is coming as second nature.

It is a bit daunting at first, but maybe this will help from Nathaniel

Thanks Catherine. I appreciate you taking the time to post the above link. I will watch it now.

I mentioned my website on my brother's facebook page and asked his friends to suggest what they would ask Google to search for my website or articles. I got Google Indexed with just 2 post. Good Luck, Alan.

Interesting idea Adorton. Is it the brothers friends who search for your site using their predicted words for keyword searching that actually indexes you? or should I say the number of people who look for those keywords? I am wondering then if google indexes your site because it considers it valuable content because people are finding it?

I was a Auto Tech and my brother was a shop manager. Techs hang with other techs and managers know everyone. Anyhow I keyword research then slip them in randomly. I also add them to the search result in google. My brother says it's like picking one person out of one group, then picking one out of another, and so on. Seems to work. It also helps that my content is full of auto industry secrets that help customers.I found that not a lot of people are doing what I'm doing.

Sounds like you have a proper grasp of using and incorporating your keywords into your content. Good for your success. I wonder if my genre/niche is not searched enough. I am hoping the gurus or actual certified (s) in the field don't dominate. I am only considered being at the enthusiast level yet still hoping to help others with the like interest.
