Hello Everyone,

This is a PSA and especially urgent for those who are working hard and placing Amazon links on their websites. Some of you may have been aware, but I was not... until now. So, in order to help avoid problems and minimize the time spent placing the wrong links on your sites, I'm sharing the response from Amazon. Here you go....

Hello

On November 1, 2023, two of the SiteStripe features “Image” and “Text+Image” will no longer be available. Links created on your site using Image and Text+Image will stop working December 31, 2023. Please remove them from your content as soon as possible if you have not already done so to avoid broken images on your site. Please note that standard text links from SiteStripe will continue to be available and work appropriately.

Videos, product images, and reviews written/created outside of Amazon .com, including professional reviewers, authors, publishers and customers, are copyrighted by others. We display them on our site by permission from those third parties. Amazon .com doesn't have the legal right to give you permission to access, use, or display them.

If you wish to use Amazon.com's product images on your website, you may obtain them by creating Product Links on Associates Central or through Product Advertising API. Customer product reviews are also available through Product Advertising API. Your use of product images and reviews obtained through Product Advertising API is limited by the terms of the Associates Program IP License Product Advertising API License Agreement, which is available here:

Before deciding to access product images or reviews through the Product Advertising API, we encourage you to familiarize yourself with the full terms of the License and in particular with the terms relating to storage, display, and refreshing data.

I would like to know why Amazon has not informed me yet of their little debacle. 🧐

Yes, why haven't they "officially" notified affiliates when logged in? ...hmm.... I wonder why they haven't removed even the options of Native Ads yet? I wonder why they haven't notified us sooner. I was using the text and image links up through, I believe Nov 11th, when I realized I had a problem with some of my text and image links... I wondered why am I working and putting links onto my sites when we now know they are deprecating them - instead of encouraging us to use the API? ...why... yes, why....

If I had to guess they are hoping to un-alive a bunch of us off their profit tab. So, they can keep all the money. Hoping many of us are dumber than we appear.

..and using the time to their advantage. They know the work put into these sites, they know it takes time to find and replace links, they know the API is not working for many seeing that many of the API plug-ins are not reliable..... they know it will all take time to fix... and they know you'll need 3 "qualified" sales within 90 days... They also know they haven't defined "qualified" yet either... So, yes.... they KNOW... and yes, they don't want to pay. ...

I agree, but for those of us who are willing to fight for our lot. Do so! I also have a personal store selling little t-shirts and mugs. I think ill make one saying F-U (Bozo) 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

You would think... or, at least I would, if I were Amazon, they'd remove the Image and Text and Image option from Site Stripe.... ...I mean, it's common sense...
