Slipping rank but at least I'm progressing!

Hey there WAmily! I hope you're all doing great and taking advantage of your newly found time!

I have not been too active lately because I had to put some things in perspective, realise my goals and priorities. Unfortunately, I had been taking the WA ranking a little too seriously and I was just constantly on here doing everything possible to up my rank.

Because of that, my website has not been getting the love is deserves and trying to do it all at once was just too much. I ended up with a huge writer's block because I just wasn't into it anymore. I was starting to lose interest in what my main goal was. As much as I love this platform, I let it get the best of me and let my site sit. I barely even logged into it.

I took a couple of days away from both to reflect and have me time. What I figured out is that I'm mainly here to learn and build my online business. It's fine to engage, read blog posts and comment but there's more to this than WA rank. I won't stop communicating, but it will be less than it was. I need to put my brain back in the game.

In the time that I've taken away from everything, the weather has been awesome! It's starting to actually feel like spring, even though there's still quite a bit of snow everywhere. I have a nice big deck in the back of the house where there's also a cabin for my daughters. I figured getting some exercise while helping mother nature rid my deck of snow was a great idea! The sooner the deck is open the better with the circumstances were going through with social distancing and isolation.

At least we'll be able to go outside to enjoy the weather!

Here's a picture of when I started a couple days ago and one from earlier today after I did some more. I only do a little at a time because it's comes apart as huge ice chunks so it gets hard on the hands but that's ok, slow and steady wins the race!

Being cooped up all winter due to how cold it is was already a drag, but now, the new normal of staying away from everything as much as possible has really put a damper on regular life. I was never one for going out too much but every Saturday if go with my mom and hang out while we get our groceries done. For now, that has been put on hold because even though we're not on lockdown, we believe in social distancing to help calm the spread.

Ive also found something that has gone viral because of everyone being in quarantine or lockdown. I don't know if you guys have seen it, it's called dalgona coffee. I'm a coffee fanatic so I'll try almost anything that has to do with coffee! My first try was a fail but on my second shot it was a huge win and it's SO good!

Basically, you need instant coffee, granulated sugar and hot water. 2 tablespoons of each into a small bowl. Then you use a hand mixer or frother if you have one and mix the 3 ingredients together till it because a fluffy foam.

Grab a seperate glass and put your choice of milk with a few ice cubes. Spoon your fluffy coffee mixture on top of the milk. You can either leave it as it is or mix it all up with the milk. I personally like to mix it up.

And there you have it! An awesome, great tasting drink! :) I got fancy with mine.. Yup, that's my kind of fancy!

All in all, it has been an awesome few days away from everything. I feel refreshed and more than ready to work. I've also not only found some new content to write but I've found 2 more categories to add to my site that I'll be able to add an infinite amount of content to.

Needless to say, I'm feeling very positive! :)
