Moon Properties ,get it while you can .
Well here we go ,It has started ,
I'm Talking about this statement I red in an article from nasaspaceflight.com : "Robert Bigelow, founder and President of Bigelow Aerospace, believes that space property rights are essential in order to establish a space industry operating beyond Low Earth Orbit".
That's kind of impossible isn't it ? I mean , he wants to know that if they creates an Habitat on the moon if it "allows them to have a zone of operation in which other persons are prevented from entering".
It's like : "Hey buddy this is MY PROPERTY keep off or "... "Or what ? you going to de-pressurise my space suite "?
Imagine what it'll be like in the future "Hey that's my meteorite I've seen it first . " ... "Sorry body I have the paper that says it's MINE "... "Come on you two there are plenty of meteorites in the belt ".
A few questions have to be answer if this is going to be . Questions like
First : Do we have the right to Disfigure the Moon with mining operation or other activity that would alter it ?
Second: Who is going to manage those properties ? Who can or has the right to do this ?
Third : If habitats are build on the moon what will be the regulations ? you know !!! Are they going to be aloud to pollute the moon at will ? will the moon become a garbage dump ?
Fourth : Who's going to enforce those regulations ?
I guess I could go on for ever and the first habitat on the Moon is a few years away ,But that Robert Bigelow is darn serious . You can read the article here .
I think that ... If this is to happen , all the counties in the world will have to have a say
about it . And we all know that the "Harmony of this World Countries " needs work . Never the less we might have to mine or colonize the moon in the future lets hope that the decision to do it is an unanimous one . I know it this post has nothing to do with why we're with WA ... It's just food for thoughts .

John Paul Getty opined that "the meek shall inherit the earth...but not the mineral rights". Change earth to moon or space and you get the idea...the more things change the more they stay the same and all that..
Kinda greedy if you ask me. I don't know why people always jump the gun -- oh, yeah ~ MONEY! Everything is a monopoly. I think this is like you said going to be tough to monitor. I also think we have enough going on here (on Earth) with issues that why do we need to start more? Costly, too.
