How Can I Reach You?
For the record, I am a Baby Boomer.
I never shared this with WA, but this is my entire reason for joining Affiliate Marketing and in particular Wealthy Affiliate.

We were latchkey kids before the term became a negative. We rode bikes without helmets and disappeared usually after lunch, for an entire day before coming home at dark. Our parents trusted us to do the right thing. And most of the time we did. But all of this led us to be self-sufficient.
Beyond all else, we Boomers are resourceful. Don't tell me what to do or how to think!
We have made more than our fair share of lemonade out of lemons. Another round of difficulties another round of lemonade.
We will succeed!
But How Can You Reach Us?
My first and most relevant question is where do Boomers get their information?
I have been online from the days of dial-up, 28.8kps. An hour to download one 4-minute song if no one tried to call you and cut your connection. This was the biggest reason that most houses had two telephone numbers. Today does anyone use a "house phone"? I have one and pay $25/month for the "telemarketing" machine. It is what we call it, no one ever answers it!
We have been "connected" long before many of the people in this audience were born. So when we want information our first inclination is to "Google It" to get your answer. This is why people are creating Google Appeasing Posts. We were the very first audience on the internet. The internet was designed by us, for us, to make life easier for us. We are on the internet.
Information is Power
As a resourceful group were were also some of the earliest adopters of ChatGPT. The Boomers are always looking to create a better way of doing things. It is in our DNA.
Many have moved away from "Google It" to Chatty "Answer This".
I use Five Different AI Chatbots. I know their nuances and which to use in what type of situation. Do you? When it comes to reaching the Boomers, this is not helpful to your efforts to reach us. How often do you actually look at the references when they are provided? I do because I keep training Chatty to show me the references and ask a repeated question. My question is always
"How to Master Niche Blogging for Retirement"
I ask for references and when my blog is not listed as a source, I can ask it to formulate an answer using my blog. So using Chatty today is not going to help bloggers trying to reach us.
What is The Answer?
Personally, I enjoy reading. For many of you, you know that I read your posts. I leave comments when I have learned something new. I offer constructive feedback when I have the opportunity to help someone move forward. This is something that as a community, we should be doing more of. The power of WA to take over the internet is at our fingertips if we just want to. I will save this topic for another day.
I Learn By Seeing Doing
So when I want to learn something, I go to YouTube. A lot of people do not like to hear this, but doing YouTube is where you want to be if you want to teach us "Boomers" anything.
If someone has a video on it, I am going to watch it. Most of the time I want a short video, others I want a long version. I learn by seeing and doing. I was not a proponent of creating videos. I am still not as active there as I should be. But I am picking up steam in this arena.
My Canva subscription has made YouTube Shorts, and IG Reels a breeze. I am in the middle of creating a video series on the 15 Free AI Image Generators that I use in creating my blog posts.
