Heads Up, Deepfake paid ad with Michael O'Leary on Youtube DO NOT CLICK
This ad seems to have been removed from google in May 2024, yet here it is again targeting me because it knows I am exploring AI - you'd think Google and Youtube would be held responsible in 2026, and it's just one example.
We know google targets us with specific ads based on our activity
Having determined I am interested in AI and AI tools, google is showing me a LOT of ads for different types of AI tools before yt videos. A couple of these I clicked on this week, but tonight before my video an ad ran with a well known Irish figure, Michael O'Leary who founded Ryanair, a video ad of him sitting in front of a microphone pitching for investment in his platform and it really did look like him - except 'his' offer sounded too good to be true, to invest 250 euros and make 750 euros each day every day after, starting tomorrow! That didn't add up! How could he afford that! Also fishy was that only selected irish citizens were being picked out by his Ai for this offer and I was special AND had to act really fast, [the pressure sell], or the offer and opportunity would disappear forever...

But because it was a 'seeing is believing' himself sitting there in the video speaking, the familiar nationally proven businessman, and because there was pressure was to click the link on the ad before it disappeared off the front of the video, l clicked the link in the youtube ad, ...like any other youtube ad in the past..., to go to 'his' website about his ai platform... before opening a new tab to punch in the words 'calmtreeinsights scam'... Michael O'Leary scam would have got the same results.
We think twice about clicking links in emails & texts, but paid youtube ads?!
It turned out to be a well known deepfake scam running almost two years now! How can youtube be allowing scam ads which lots of websites are now saying :
'don't click as scammers can get access to your bank account - even if you don't sign up!'
Geez. It was a paid ad running on a youtube video like any other paid ad [and I'm bombed by botbuilders and ai books at the moment]. And at this point I was wondering was I already compromised from clicking the link in the youtube ad!!! I didn't click the link on the scam website - the image photo for this blog with the airplane and text box underneath is the landing page where they are asking for your details...I did not enter any details I got off that site asap. But I had already clicked the youtube ad... And now wonder if that was enough to get some sort of malware or be hacked? And will wonder going forward how safe it is to click any youtube ads!!!!

I'm in Ireland, getting up to speed on AI so I was targeted with an Irish-flavoured deepfake - chances are someone has these deepfakes set up for all nationalities out there!
