Why I turned down $500 commissions.and what happened next

Maybe the first question is, how can I get $500 commissions? I can tell you it is not for my use of keywords or AI or social media...but KNOWLEDGE....EEAT, anyone? EXPERIENCE, EXPERTISE, AUTHORITY, TRUSTWORTHINESS!

Experience - this is NOT having a cha,t getting yourself self-educated in a session with AI. That someone can even think like that really is quite shocking... that would actually be a low level use of AI, according to AI itself.

If, for example, you are going to publish on turmeric, I would ask you how have you used it over time, what conditions have you personally seen it reverse, and at what dose...?

  • Because if colitis is taking 20g a day for quite some months after all meds and ops have failed, or systemic inflammation, or if your reader needs to regain the ability to walk when the medical profession has told them it's 'game over', how dare you tell them they need to buy an expensive extract at a dose of 2-3g that will never work for them and lose them time in the only window they may have had for recovery!
  • Are you going to 'play safe' on who can or should not be taking it, would you know what 'safe' really means?
  • Would you be amplifying Big Pharma noise pushing the herb science off the table because you regurgitated concensus stuff you weren't even aware of while ignored the exciting facts you were not aware of...? And now are adding to the 'this doesn't work' stats 'we need meds' geez...
  • Have you ever taken on a pharma scientist with turmeric facts and won?
  • I mean, why would you even bother entering that niche - to make money? Unless you really know something - geez - keywords and AI alone don't cut it. And it's the same with any herb tea or 'health' niche target. Health niche is not wedding decor!

Expertise - do you really think asking random questions on an AI platform makes you an 'expert', or doing a course in Udemy written by a blogger like yourself makes you 'an expert'? Better informed, perhaps, that would be relative to your starting point... but 'expertise'... seriously? Would you even know where to find serious [either scientific or clinical or traditional] education of any sort now? And would you recognise original sources from the marketing fluff or know the problems with secondary sources?

Authoritative - there was a time this meant knowing everything in the field, arguments for and against... as watered down as things are today...we can't get away from glaring omissions in blogs [and universities!], even if they accidentally hit a few random interesting facts...

Trustworthiness - back to why I turned my back on serious dosh - integrity is key - taking money for information that does harm, would you trust such a person/doctor/clinician... is it any excuse to say 'I didnt know'?

Sloppy approaches to niches, abusing an AI to do some lame research that you are in no position to question. or raise a level... well, I'm calling it - document YOUR journey, whether in healing or education, but don't presume to lead folks astray whether at the 'low' level of blogger or 'qualified expert professional'... because doctors too are taking on misinformation to make a quick buck. And who really trusts them anymore either.

If you walk away from $500 commissions, guess what offers come in next, offers of even bigger commissions... the pursuit of Integrity pays more than the pursuit of sloppy laziness amplified by AI. And folks who pursue true learning in their niche and walk it themselves, sky is the limit.

Life is a journey ... whether health or integrity or finance... I love this image made by image studio - the learner who decides they have a niche to lead others and who can't even see the dangers of their lack of knowledge - health niche folks have no excuse here... you actually get the health niche a bad reputation if you pretend 'knowledge' and 'leadership' instead of your journey... the person in this pic wants to lead, influence, not learn....thinks they know enough, even has their own book on it...would YOU trust them, ...!
