The first time I learned how to drive a car with gears, I was so scared. So glad technology has advanced and we don't have to worry about that anymore.

When I had my first lesson with my cousin, it was extremely scary. Luckily we were on a field and I was eager to learn. I switched on the car and started moving, now when you are going straight, it's not too bad, but when you have to turn or brake those are the trying moments. It got to a point where she instructed me to stop and I panicked for a moment and did not know what to do. The car was quickly headed towards a large tree. My cousin reached out and quickly switched off the car. We stopped and everyone was relieved, but that was my first and last lesson with her.

I did not give up though, I actually signed up for some classes and this teacher was excellent. He told me one thing that to this day I still remember "If you get in the car, you need to know where you are going". This has served me well for a very long time. But what happens when you have unexpected situations? How do you handle them? Are you in gear?

Well here at WA, we are so fortunate to have a community of individuals that have been through some things that we are yet to experience or have experienced. This helps us because we can ask and receive assistance where necessary. In any challenging situation, it's important to get assistance.
