What is your Passion?
Passion is a strong feeling of love or enthusiasm towards a person or something.
Growing up I was passionate about baseball, BMX bikes then coffee. Now I enjoy helping others emotionally and mentally.
Today, I still have passion for coffee and have toyed with an idea of a spiritual cafe. However I have a lack of passion for retail. I am good at making drinks but definitely not the best. My coffee business was a roasting company. We roasted, packaged and sold our coffee wholesale to other cafes, retail stores and restaurants. I enjoyed the process of coffee roasting. Knowing the right temperature and bringing out the best flavor of each different regions. I love the trials and errors of mixing different coffee blends. Seeing how 5% of one type of coffee can change the taste of the blend. Designing a specific blend to meet a company or consumer request.
I have the same strong emotion of helping others to be positive. I get pleasure and a sense of accomplishment when a student that I had mentored tells her friend to "stay positive". My employee wrote to tell me I inspired him to open his business. My previous Assistant asked me which job she should take as she had two offers.
I have heard of people whose families undermine them or don't want to see them get ahead in life. There is a saying in Hawaii known as the Crab Syndrome. If you watch how the crabs try to climb out of the bucket, the ones on the bottom always try to pull the others down. They do not want the others to get ahead.
It's a sad situation for what? Jealousy!

Hi Marc! Great way to get your points across...I love the coffee story - (I am a lover of coffee)...Plus the analogy of a bucket of crabs (who hasn't worked with a few of them over the years hehe) - that is soooo easy to picture, and yes it really fits the fact that these crabs try to pull down the ones scrambling like crazy to escape...Have a wonderful day and thanks for putting a smile on my face (that is twice already today!)!
