No. This is water (temporarily) accumulated in the lee of sand dunes in the Rhub Al Kali desert right here on earth! Located in the southeast section (quarter) of Saudi Arabia, this region called the empty quarter is one of the most unsettled regions on the planet.
The image above is taken from a NASA satellite and shows the after effects of recent tropical storm Mekunu. This freshwater rain is in contrast to the desert image effect in the region.
This area is considered the most extensive dune system on the planet. It even blows over into storms that reach and blow sand to the Khobar Towers in the United Arab Emirates. You would expect that condition to be exclusive to the Sahara Desert. That is a desert, but no, this area on the Arabian peninsula is the most extensive dune system on earth.
I have long imagined fabulous ancient cities buried under the Arabian sands. It turns out such places exist. The lost city of Ubar is real. This city was mentioned in the Koran and 1,001 Arabian Nights. It was established as a Frankincense center of trade.
A team of archaeologists from Los Angeles made the discovery in 1992. They used high tech satellites and basic detective reasoning in studying surface topology to make this find. It was a fortress city and great center of commerce established about 3,000 years BC.
The area has residual riches as well. Oil which has been heavily extracted in the northern and central regions of the Kingdom has barely been touched in the south. Sand dunes average 800 feet in height requiring reinforcement structuring for subsurface mining. There are many minerals available. Limestone from ancient seabed growth and gypsum predominate.
The most significant mineral of all - water - exists in abundance under the sands. It's extraction and irrigation can make the desert bloom as has already been done in Israel.
Places like Ubar have become the abandoned shopping malls of 5,000 years ago. A similar evolution is happening in our western world today.

There is a great difference between now and 5 millennia ago. Commerce extends around the entire planet. Technology extends it to a quantum degree. There are at least 100,000 individuals as a conservative estimate who are involved in actively contributing to commerce in Wealthy Affiliate. Such a condition is unprecedented.
There is a condition called escape velocity which gives lift to a craft to overcome gravity and escape the restraining force of gravity to lift free into space. I believe that thanks to organizations like Wealthy Affiliate our current civilization will make that jump.
I see that by 7,000 AD this will result in a likely off world regeneration of all our civilization! It will be a great voyage ahead!

Are you aware of the presence of Glass particles over most of the area of the Sahara desert? How does glass form in sand?
I've read that ancient civilizations or extraterrestrial visitors used nuclear fission in explosions to generate such heat of formation!
but since the information came from the author of the series of Books titled the Earth Chronicles, based on his interpretation of the cuneiform tablets from ancient Sumer, which were later proven to be wrong interpretations, the stories don't pan out. But the coloration of the Sahara desert on Google Earth still showed it 6 years ago when I found it.

I find your post exciting, those lost cities found thousands of years later. Interesting to read it was the place for Frankincense commerce.
This is very helpful and used for multiple things. To reduce stress reactions and negative emotions, something of which there is too much in our world. How about swapping all these pills for Frankincense?
It also kills harmful germs and bacteria, a great present when you are born in a stable.
