ABOUT the significance of ME

I recently completed lesson one and wanted to share some thoughts because it took me about a week and over 100 revisions to complete my About Me post, haha. I gained a lot of insight about myself and even more about my passion.

While our About Me content doesn’t need to be extensive, and it may not even be considered a revenue generating post, I feel it is where the groundwork begins.

Initially I was a little hard on myself, saying this shouldn’t be taking so long, but I came to the realization that it’s okay. Everyone’s creative process is different and maybe my story is still unfolding. Just go with it.


This was a great warm-up exercise for inciting creative ideas by deep diving into the self, as outlined in the template… who are you, why are you here, what did you come here to do?

In planting those seeds, it requires some time to grow. During that week of revising, rewriting, and reanalyzing; that seed was being nurtured, blossoming into a more clearly defined sense of direction and purpose.

After about 2,000 words, I realized my story had branched off and given rise to more than five other post topics for internal and external links, so my labor was not in vain. Either way, it was still an investment.



Behind the products, links, information, resources, stands another human being or organization, a story.

In many cases, unless we are just looking to buy a pair of socks, even then, we might like to know about the integrity of the seller we are buying from or the brands we are supporting.

What drives them? quality or just quantity. Are they honest and trustworthy? What are they all about?

Your store is an extension of you. Your content is a reflection of your character.

“In the end, we'll all become stories.”

Things will usually just get tossed aside but a story is priceless.
