Hi Fam! Hope everyone is doing great and feeling inspired! This community definitely helps. I have a niche that is focused on health and overall wellbeing. I want to use my sit

Hi, I would do a google search with your niche + affiliates and see what comes up. It will be hard to get a company to start a program if they don't have one as they won't be set up. Plus, you will need plenty of content and traffic. You will aim to be an authority in that niche. It's not clear from your profile where you are in training? Those lessons will help. Phil

Thank you much for your time and support! That really helps to get a clearer picture since my companies are not listed and many of their products are targeted to a very specific consumer base.

Cool sorry I did not see the other answers .. you can always start a conversation if you demonstrate a passionate "tribe" following good luck Phil

Appreciate as much feedback as I can get and all angles. Thank you 😊

Hi - you need to find out if they have affiliate programs in place, and then complete their application form. They will inspect your website and will expect to see lots of original, written content on your niche, before they approve you. Ideally, you will have at least 15 articles before you apply.

Are you following the training? It is laid out in a specific order for you to have the best chance of success. You shouldn't skip ahead as you may miss out an important step.

I am still in the beginning of training and haven't skipped but i just have this pre-preparation anxiety and want to to be proactive if i need to begin connecting with these brands now in some way since they aren't on the affiliate list here. Thank you for the info!

Hi - do be careful to not start using images of the products you would like to promote. They will probably be copyrighted, and you won't be able to use them until your affiliate application is approved.

Your first few articles should be informational not product based. Don't start by writing reviews on products, on the assumption you will be approved, just in case you are not accepted.

Thanku for the input about the images. I got to the training about not writing more Informational posts. I won’t be writing reviews as a profit based endeavor but planned to do that regardless to support my favorite brands. I’ll just continue to let my passion be my guide. Thanks!

Hi

You site need be ready before you apply for affiliate programs.

You may try the Promote tab top menu

https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/affiliate-programs

You can do a google search
Your niche + affiliate programs
Your niche + affiliate programs + location
and see what results you get

You would have written 20 - 30 posts and have some traffic to be able apply for affiliate programs as typically they will check your site for relevance and traffic prior approval.

For Amazon it is 10 - 15 posts. You also would have to make 3 sales in your first 180 days.

Once accepted, they've given you material and special tracking code links you can share on your site.

Essentially you are writing more informational posts so that you do not sound so salesy to Google and if there’s a solution, a detailed analysis review post for your visitors to let them make an informed decision whether to go click your links and go purchase the focused item you proposed to solve their issue.

Once they do, and in accordance with your affiliation terms and conditions, how commission payouts are tracked and paid. You need to read up how payments are made because different programs follow different rules; some pay by check others via PayPal or straight to your check account.

I would always adhere to your affiliate program terms and conditions.

Thanks Abie, I understand the site will need to be running before i can use links. I will check those out. I was just wanting to clarify beforehand in preparation as far as possibly needing to establish a relationship with these brands through writing reviews or connecting with them on social media. That is something I can do during the process of building but I didnt know what would be required in the future to apply for those links.

Awesome! thats what I needed to know. Thank you so much!

No worries you are so very welcome.
