Tomorrow is a label not a destination

Things were going wrong for almost the entire first half of the day today. I considered going back to bed and pulling the covers over my head. I did take a short nap for about fifteen minutes. Sometimes just a few minutes of being quiet and still is all it takes to bring me back to my calm center and realign my mind. I believe I was born to be a writer, but I have declined to follow my heart for many years; up until this year. "Tomorrow" used to be my go-to mantra. Procrastination was the balm to my work weary body and mostly neglected mind. No more! Anyway, quite often the absolute best ideas I have as a writer happen in those few brief minutes upon waking. Today wasn't so much an idea as it was just a little bit clearer focus. When I got up from that short nap, I had a renewed purpose and a better attitude. This year I am determined to accomplish several major goals in my life. Around the same time that I started with wealthy affiliate (sometime in June) I began writing a book. I am over halfway done with the book. I have started a gratitude box. Each day I write down something I'm grateful for that day on an index card and put it in the box. I have filled my office with positive messages. The sign in the picture above is one message that I read every day since it hangs directly across from my desk. The photo below is just a small corner in my office. I spend some time each day doing a task that I really don't want to do, but I know it will benefit me in the long run. I have determined that every day that I am given will be filled with as much possibility, purpose and passion as I can fit into it! I am on my road to success. On my road there are no tomorrows, only today!
