I was just approved but couldn't log in. I had to send a support ticket and haven't heard back. I'm curious to hear what others experience is. I assume you are referring to what your to be called pepperjam network.
No, I have been accepted. You can use social media to promote links, but it looks like the links I was creating with their link generator isn't working when I pin it on Pinterest. My affiliate code isn't there. As far as I can tell
Because, it is hard to find your affiliate link on the site.
So, I am just trying to find out if anyone has used it and what kind of methods did they use to build links.
I need to wait for them to reset my password before I can play around with it. Hopefully someone will be able to help you out.
Pinterest don't allow direct affiliate links so this could be the problem, the link might have been "stripped" by Pinterest. I should add, it's best to link to content on your site and use the affiliate link there. :)
Yes, drive the traffic to your site where visitors will find good content and be more likely to convert to a sale. :)

I would like to know how to create a PDF file a user would receive if they sign up for my email list. I am only offering a chapter of a cookbook if users sign up
Or would
Microsoft Word or OpenOffice Writer (the free alternative) will create your PDF for you. The rest is covered in How to Create Your List for Free ~Marion
You can also install a free program called "Do PDF" if you have no other way to create your PDF. doPDF lets you print anything to a PDF file. You select "doPDF" as your printer when you go to print. It will then prompt you to save the PDF file to your desired location.
You can get it to your users by uploading it to your website via the Media Library and put a link to the PDF on a page or post.
I was just reading another post by a member and they were saying to create a special content area on your site only members who have signed up can access. Is that what you mean?
Ah, what I was talking about was how to make a document on your computer into a PDF. Sorry, I misunderstood the question :)
I don't know how to automate sending PDFs when someone signs up yet though.
You can create a PDF file for your users to download from a Word document using either Microsoft Word or the free, open source alternative Open Office. Either one of those will allow you to export your document as a PDF file.
Thank You,
After you create the PDF how to you get it your users? Do I just sent an email with a link?
You could either send the user a link or, depending on its size, you could attach the PDF file directly to an email you send them. (A link would probably be better for a larger file.)
A PDF is different from an eBook.
Here is information and software about ebook creation:

Does anyone know how to fix these problems? Already using W3 Total Cache & it doesn't appear to be helping
How Eliminate render-blocking JavaScript and CSS in above-the-fI am having the same problem milla. tried w3 total cache but no luck and also some other plugins. did you figure the problem out?
my link is http://arlenesbookclub.com/
The new problem I have is that after playing around with all these plugins adding and then deleting the twitter social button looks wrong. it won't show the twitter count anymore.
I was experiencing the same thing and by testing my site it appeared my images were the culprit. I installed Caesium Image Compressor software for free (just search it in google) My site went from 11 second load time down to 3 seconds. So even though it was time consuming to convert all the existing images on my site it was well worth it. Now I compress all new images before posting.
you can enter your url here http://gtmetrix.com/ and Test your website speed for free. and they tell you exactly what you can do about it
Yeah, I was just using Google & I've used the site you've listed before. I find they tell you the problem but not exactly how to fix it.
Is there a plugin to use to optimize images loesless --lossless image format
At first, I have no experience with these plugins, but I came accross this site today http://premium.wpmudev.org/blog/10-best-image-optimization-plugins-to-speed-up-your-wordpress-site/
Hey Camille - just a word of caution about EWWW Image Optimizer.. it's not compatible with all themes. I had it working fine on two of my sites, then changed themes with one yesterday and all of a sudden my visual editor disappeared. I wasted all afternoon trying to fix it :( Don't let it put you off using it, just be aware.
I shall go check the link Loes posted for a suitable alternative, as G pagespeed insights is always flipping out about my images!

Yes, it is frustrating. It's not even my images- it's the social icon images which come with the theme (pinboard). Then, I keep getting the eliminate render blocking? I use png images.
It gets frustrating because I want to focus on content but I have to be blogger and web admin.
Do you have any suggestions for good responsive themes to use which don't slow your site down?
Hey Camille
Hmm, maybe you need a different theme then.. but I just checked your site and it took no time at all to load. Can you not disable the social icons that come with the theme and use something like 'simple social icons' plugin instead?
As a general rule JPG images are better, but I do use both myself.
I hear you! I changed themes yesterday morning and then spent the entire day customising it and making it look how I wanted, then fixing the compatibility issue.. So here I am at 7am, on the laptop again, because I wasted so much time yesterday, I didn't get any content written. Wah! Lol.
As for theme recommendations, gosh, I don't really know.. I've just been choosing based on what I like the look of. But I found this: http://colorlib.com/wp/fast-loading-wordpress-themes/
There is a guy on WA (probably more than one!) who knows a bit about themes but I can't remember his name.. he might be able to help. Let me go look him up.. BRB.
C
Oh yea that has happened to me too, change theme, take all day fixing it, 3 am nothing done but that..lol
This link is good with the WP themes I'm gonna see if I can find one of those. The article was just done 4/1 so it's recent. Thanks:)
It was a total impulse.. I'm glad I did it now, even if I do say so myself, it looks great :) But my god, it was a pain in the butt.
Glad the link was useful. Let me know what you decide :)

I will later today because if I get started now I won't get to sleep til the sun comes up. It's already after 3am!
Look forward to seeing the finished result :)
If you fancy a break tomorrow from all the tinkering, would you take a look at my new look website and let me know what you think? http://handbaghack.com/
Night night :)
C
I know. I just looked @ ur page. How do you do that email marketing? I haven't gotten back to my training. I signed up for verticalResponse but, I'm a little confused. I like how yours comes out, but can you control how much the box pops up while your user is browsing?
Haha, OK, well, I use SumoMe and Mailchimp Topbar plugins and yes, you can control how often the popups are shown.. I have it set to once every 14 days per individual visitor, and the sticky top bar is visible all the time.
I am building the list with Mailchimp (I don't ever expect to exceed the free allowance). I love how you can customise the mailshots exactly how you want them to look - it's dead easy to use.
Let me know if you have questions, but for now, get to bed - it's ten to 4 in the morning! :)

I know. I will message u later today so I can get more help with that. Thanks & gudnite/gudmorning:)
