6 Ways to Improve Your Website - Just Sharing Information
Today, I read an article which covers some basic ways to improve your website and help keep your visitors on your website longer. These are basic, and that is the beauty of it.
- Avoid excessive advertising - Obviously, there is nothing wrong with advertising; however, it becomes excessive when you have flashing advertising or your site is mostly advertising. It is overwhelming for your visitor and more than likely they won't return. Do you want that?
- Make you text more readable - Text which is hard to read is another turn-off. Use a reasonable size font, and a font color that shows up well across all devices. Don't go crazy with colors stick to the basics (black/white)
- Fix your navigation - This tells your readers where they should go. It's the map of your site, so set it up where your readers will know where to go easily.
- Improve the appeal of your design - Your site design is the first thing visitors see when they come to your site. This is your brand so represent yourself accordingly. First impressions are everything and your visitor will make a decision based on if they will be back or not.
- Interlink your internal pages - (Kyle covers this topic in WA affiliate bootcamp course; search for internal linking and you will find information on this). Find ways to interlink your pages with hyperlinks to engage your audience more.
- Provide More Valuable Information - This is key! If your content is not valuable to your visitor they have no reason to return to your site.
I wanted to share the information because when you are just starting off, myself included, you make mistakes which can be avoided if someone had pointed you in the right direction.

Yeah. One thing I always think about when crafting a page on my website, is what I like/dislike on websites I visit. Excessive advertising is one thing i can't stand.I especially can't stand those loud blinking banners. We all want to make money, yes. After all that is the bottom line. But when advertising takes over your page it is no longer "informational" It is blatant and a turnoff.
