7 Steps to turn your blog into a business
Obviously, we are all here at WA to make money. However, it takes time and you must build a solid foundation in which your business can grow and thrive. All of the tools are here at WA - training and support from members. Ultimately, the desire has to begin with you and continue daily as you go through the struggles of creating content, engaging with your audience, getting traffic, and helping others through your work.
Initially, I was looking for a way to "hurry up" and make money. That is just not possible. You have to work hard, take yourself and your business seriously - it's not just words on a page, and get in the habit of thinking as a successful person. You will eventually see the fruits of your labor. I have been busy the past two weeks working on getting my site visually pleasing when I read another post by Eddy Salomon and he reminded me I needed to stop worrying with the business of working on getting my site so "pretty" and focus on providing relevant content. That is when I really got to work. Of course, my site is still a work in progress, but now I see what is really important.
I wanted to share a great article I read this morning on DailyWorth. Because we are all trying to reach a goal, but we have to crawl before we walk.

Great share Milla, I know what you mean! I feel torn...I need more training, my content to lacking, how do I drive traffic to my site. Your blog is spot on. Take a deep breath and keep moving forward. Thanks!
We definitely have to learn to prioritize and not beat ourselves up when we don't get it "all" done. Thanks for your feedback!
All we can do everyday is continue to take the necessary steps and one day we will get there. Will we even recognize when we have finally gotten to where we want to be? It seems we always set our goals higher and higher. Thanks for your feedback.
All very good information to remember. It is easy to fall into the trap of feeling like your wasting your time working so hard creating new content when you haven't seen traffic yet. But good content is king and if you stay consistent sooner or later it will be there.
I had been feeling like that, then I realized I needed to get my focus on the task at hand. It was like blinders falling off my eyes! Thanks for your feedback.
You hit on something very important here which is: "build a solid foundation". We drive by new buildings being built all the time but we don't think about all the work that was done before a single brick is laid.
So true! It has been during building my site I have I really began to understand this concept. Thanks for the feedback!
