Places to Get Your Blog Noticed

As I mentioned in my last post I have been using social media more and have come across a couple of great resources where you can get your blog noticed. Be prepared these all require some level of effort. Remember you are building a business. One important thing I am learning is to connect with other bloggers, this benefits you in two ways:

1. You gain "free" valuable information - especially if the blogger has a successful blog and has been at it a while.
2. You get yourself and your blog noticed. Meaning present your blog and what you do in a business manner.

Social Media

Pinterest has a board just for blogs - If you use Twitter you have to follow The Blog Guide or The Blog Guide Board and then submit an email to megan@theofficialblogguide.com so you can get an invite to pin on the board. Forums - places where you can find others within your niche and get involved in the conversations. You can also start your own conversation and list your site http://www.topix.com/forum/dir

I have found some blogging groups who will RT if you mention them in your tweet and you can follow them

Making connections is important because you meet others in your field and get yourself noticed. I think it is important we support each other, but we each are on our own paths and you have to do what works for you. I am finding you have to get out of your comfort zone, keep an open mind, and be willing to go the extra mile.
