How long should it take.

How long should it take to write a blog post? This is a question that I've been asking myself lately.
Do you often find yourself wondering how long various activities should take? From cooking dinner to driving to work, it can be helpful to have a general idea of how long things should take.

There's no one answer to this question - it depends on your individual circumstances. If you have a lot of experience with content creation then it probably won't take you as long as someone who is starting from scratch.

I love researching, learning and constantly trying to improve my understanding of the world around me. WA has been a great community for that. I've learned so much from everyone here, including things that I never would have thought to research on my own.
However, I've been noticing lately that I might be spending too much time researching and not enough time actually creating
If you're a content creator, you know that generating ideas for blog posts can be a challenge. So how do some content creators produce a blog a day?

If you're anything like me, you might have wondered how some content creators manage to produce a blog post every day. Surely they must either have a team of writers or they just don't sleep? neither of those are necessarily true. you can write a blog post every day, without sacrificing quality or your sanity.I suppose the size of the post might have a lot to do with it

I have been creating content for a few months now and I have to say that I have learned a lot. I'm still not where I want to be, but I'm getting there.I'm not a naturally gifted writer. In fact, I'm pretty terrible at it. I often start writing a post and then get stuck, not knowing what to say next. I'm acutely aware that not all my content is A+ material, and that at some point I will need to go back and polish these posts into the nuggets they're supposed to be.

Everyday is a new day to learn and grow. I am starting to see results after putting in the work and research and I just want to share what I am doing with you all in hopes it will help somebody out. I am by no means an expert but I am open to learning and helping others where I can.

I think it is one of those ‘the more you do the better and faster you get’ kind of deals!

It takes me time to write a post. I often stop when I get a mental block and come back to it. I also get distracted a lot. I am a homeschooling momma of 5.

I am trying to focus on creating quality content over quantity.

I know the more I do it the better and faster I’ll get at it.

I have a list of blog posts to ✍️. I would like to have posted already but I feel like if I take the time and make sure what I am producing is quality then it is less work I will have to go back to later. Aside from doing some updates.

totally agree

all the best

You're hitting on the major points right on the head. As you develop a rhythm to your writing and publishing, you start to get better and better.

As you said, there's no one answer. But the more you do it, the tighter you get with not only your research, but your publishing as well.

Perfect mindset for this. Always looking to improve.

cheers thanks for the comment Bro

Desmond, I would suggest that once you are an expert in your niche, your passion will provide a lot of the cotent, my friend!

You will be in your groove before you know it!

You're very welcome, Desmond!

I have seen it takes me a good 2-3 days to write a post. but I am only spending about an hour each night doing so. I still have a day job, hopefully until this site takes off, then I may cut back my day job hours.

Thanks for your comment jeniramos

How long it takes to write a post is dependent on many (sorry, obvious) factors... some people write 300 words and others 5000 words. Some subjects take a lot of research. Some are easy to write about and others much more challenging.
For me, it always seems to take longer than I plan for!
:-)
Richard

Thanks richardgb

Sorry Desmond, I didn't give you a practical answer to your question...
in practice, it takes me between 2 to 3 hours and 2 to 3 days to write and publish a post.
:-)
