Images at Site Content

I have rarely used site content, because I have had a lot of problems with it. Now I know it just didn't like my Vivaldi browser, which I do like.

Using Chrome and SiteContent today every thing worked much better. After publishing the post I went in the wp editor to resize the images and noticed they aren't hosted on my website.

Somebody tell me:

  1. If I did something wrong
  2. Is it better to have them hosted off my blog

I don't think it really matters where they are hosted.

But if it bothers you there is a way to get them into your media file.

Basically, create a blank post in Site Content, download the image, save the post.

Then click on it and go to edit, at which time you can right click on the image and then save to your computer.

Then you are free to upload to your media gallery.

I do this when I forget to add an image and I have published the post.

Good luck.

Seems odd.

My images were uploaded to my blog with the content.

so were mine. first I tried to rezise them, and noticed I couldn't. When I went to the text side of the editor, I noticed they weren't hosted from my website, which I think has advantages.

I am not sure of the disadvantages?

By uploaded, I mean also available in the media files on my site, so they are hosted there.

Advantage - makes your page lighter

Disadvantage - if that image ever goes away, it's gone from your site as well.

I usually host the images I use.
