I needed to order something through amazon and since I recently got an email saying if I didn't have 3 referals by next week my account would be closed... so I had my girlfrien
If Amazon has any idea that you know her, you won't get credit for the sale. They are very fussy about that. They want you to get organic sales from unrelated people. Having her buy something, or your parents or your friends, etc., will not count.
Think I will delete all their links off my site.... the music store I pit them against not only pays the same 6% commission but gives great bonuses on top of sales if they are the only one you promote that month
Go for it Mike!
Many people, myself included, don't go anywhere near Amazon.
Their commissions are very low and the cookie life of 24 hours is an absolute joke.
If you do a little research you can usually sell the exact same items under much better terms.
Nobody should feel that Amazon is essential to their success.
If she entered Amazon via your affiliate link it doesn't matter what she bought, you should get the commission. Hopefully its just a lag and will show up in a day or two.

Steve H
Hi Mike - do you know what an affiliate link is?
When you sign up to Amazon, or any other affiliate deal, they will provide you with your very own affiliate link, which is unique to you. This link is what tells Amazon where to pay the commission.
Once anybody logs into Amazon through your link, you will be credited with the commission for anything they buy during the next 24 hours. It does not matter if its a book, a bike or a bazooka - the credit automatically goes to you.

How long does it take to show sale in amazon account ?

Hi - you would get a commission regardless of what item was bought and will show as a sale when it is shipped.
However, Amazon has sneaky ways of knowing if you asked friends or family to buy and if your girlfriend lives with you, you won't get the commission and it won't count towards your 3 sales.

ok I just gave 10 comments to get the " comment boost ". I was thinking it allowed unlimited comment requests for 24 hours but I guess it just makes your requests a priority ?
Here is a training on the subject.
