When Your SEO is So Good That You Outrank the Vender - They Will Shut You Out.

So before I got back to WA, I was doing a bunch of affiliate marketing type stuff. I was into clickbank, still am, MLM - got sucked into it, Amazon, Adsense and so on.

After a few months, I ran into a program called MCA. They were paying out $80 per new membership and people were posting videos showing hugh weekly paychecks.

Does any of you know about Motor Club of America? On the surface it, seems like easy money. The goal was to get people to sign up for their towing service and others services. You would then just show others that it works in a video or other marketing techniques.

Easy Money..... it seemed that way but far from it.

At some point, you quickly realize that it's more like a MLM where the top guys are so good that the little guys below don't really make any thing.

They would sell all the materials you need to promote MCA.

You would need to buy T-Shirts, Hats, Cards and a website is a must. There were free websites for this and that was a plus for most of the people joing.

The only messed up part was that marketing was an issue and you needed a system to get this going properly.

There were many systems selling and people were making money like crazy. by the time I discovered MCA the party was almost over.

I came to relized that MCA was around for a long time. The online system started by in 2005 or 2004. So starting in 2018 was really late.

It seem like a legit business because you were dealing with legit tow service. The service put itself a bit better than AAA. But you could never openly say that or you'll get in trouble.

Nevertheless, many do and some got banned violating the companies terms of service. I wasn't planning on getting my account axed so I stuck to the rules.

Tranining

You needed a lot of training. For most people, weebly was the go to site to build a site. But as I stated, I was late and weebly had already clamped down on people building site to promote MCA.

So people had to find other means. Wix was an excellent option and many more like it was availble. The training would come from the big wigs who had facebook groups and videos of weekly paychecks flaulting.

They also had courses and some of them were good. But, many were failing at this.

A New Traning Hit the Market

In my third month, a new training system hit the market. It was called MCA Authority by a guy named Stephen.

Using my seo skills I quickly grab up the domain name and launched my own site promoting the system because I was allowd to promote it as a member.

I build the site out and within a few months began to see some result. I created videos and tutorials promoting this sytem called mca authority.

The sales started to roll in and I was selling at least two systems a day. Then all of a sudden the sales stop. I was confused and quickly contacted jvzoo about this. They investigated and told me that all is well and I began to make sales again.

Then my account got hacked. I was terrified and the hosting company didn't help either. They told me that it was my responsiblity to have security for my websites. I was flabergasted becasue this account had many sites on it.

Long story short.... I lost all my sites and the hosting account I closed. It was horrible and I was upset. But before I closed the hosting acccount, I managed to re-build the mcaauthority site with some of the content because that site was not affected.

All I had to do was point the domain to another hosting account and add the content. That was easy and withing 3 months i was already ranking because no many people in MCA understand SEO and the product was not saturated yet.

Sales continue and a year into it MCA decides to change the commission structure. They reduced the $80 to $35.

That reduction was a huge blow to everyone. Many business went under and people began to drop off. Nobody wanted to promoted this product as they were once doing.

Before they reduced the commission amount, I noticed that my sales had follen off trastically. I found out that the vender of "MCA Authority" had stop using the product name and began to use another.

Why woud they do that?

My review wasn't a lie. I had the product. I was a member and I use the product. I get the feeling my site was either outranking them or they no longer wanted to share in on the profits.

I was raking really high for "mca authority" and mca authority review.

As you see in Jaaxy, Im raking really high. To this day, the vender has not replied any of my emails. They discontinue their support page.

Here is the few from Google.

Long story short: Choose who you partner with wisely. Sometimes the venders are a bit sketchy. I didn't believe this would happend to me but it did.

What we learn here in Wealthy Affiliate is invaluable. You may outraked your vender some day.

WOW!

Based on your experience it appears you have costs to pay upfront before making a penny.

Once you became a member did the try to upsell other products to supposedly help you make more $$$?!

Upsells are so typical that I stay away from subscribing to ANY service that does this. Unfortunately, there are many legit businesses that do this... I just think it is a horrible practice.

That is one BIG reason I'm happy to promote WA. Very few business are as up front.

Blessings,

They just cut me off. Another change happened. It seemed MCA reduced their commission from $80 to $35 which cost a lot of interest to demish. However, people are still interested in MCA and the system I'm promoting I should still be making money.

Interesting post, Mike! Thanks for sharing!

I am sorry that happened to you, but your cautionary advice is much appreciated.

So sorry your venture turned out so badly, when it was going so well.

I know it is very valuable to have multiple sources of income, but I feel I'll stay with WA for now because I trust the company. That means a lot.

Good luck to you on the rest of your journey.

Thanks. I will keep moving forward.
