Houston-We Have A Problem
Houston-We Have A Problem, and this is putting it mildly. The flooding and devastation from Hurricane Harvey in the southest Texas area is going to be a problem for weeks if not months to come.
It simply breaks my heart to see people helpless and seemingly hopeless.
They will need help. People are losing everything that they have worked so hard for all their lives.
If you and I are able to donate something towards helping our neighbors get back on their feet, I suggest we do.
You may not be in a position to donate monetarily, at least we can pray. If so be you believe in prayer and are a praying person.
I'm sure they will appreciate ANYTHING we can spare.
It's Texas today. It could be my home tomorrow; or yours.
Let's help Texas because Houston We Have A Problem!!

My stepson and his fiance lost their vehicle and maybe their home. I say maybe because she's a nurse and they made her stay at the hospital and he was stranded after the fight last night after attempting to drive home. He has spent all day today trying to get to the hospital to be with her and have shelter. She is 6 months pregnant. Her parents had to be rescued from their home early this morning also. Please say a prayer for them and everyone involved.
Oh my Misti. Trust me when I say I will be lifting them up!! Keep us posted please and I know you must be so worried. It's going to be ok!! Keep the faith!!
Oh my! I just pray that God take total control of the situation and make people put their trust in him.:)
Heard in the news now, the situation is still very bad. People are saying, God is the only hope. God bless people in Houston!:)
Yes Mike, there is a problem and a great need. If things work out. I will be going to Texas as a volunteer. I have no idea what I will be able to do, but I am going to try and do whatever I can.
Keep Texas and now Louisianna in your prayers . I have a lot of friends in La., and things are looking bad for the area as Harvey is spilling over into the gulf city areas.
Thank you Mike,

I was just down there in June Mike nd it breaks my heart as well. Fortunately my son and his new wife moved up to the Dallas area. It's getting a dowsing also but not quite as bad as Harvey moves inland and weakens!
That's great Mike and I'm glad they are safe too. This thing is massive and its impact will be far reaching, not just personal but in economical ways too.
This is just beyond words....There's much I do not understand, but I hold steadfast to the belief that GOD is in control of everything.
Very true. We need to be mindful of other people's current situations and be as generous as possible.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts on how we can help.

You're welcome and it's my pleasure, Susan. This is a great community but there is a bigger community out there too!

I used to live in the Houston area. I know what it is like.
Thank you Roger. It doesn't take much to flood Houston but this is unbelievable.
