YouTube vs Rumble – Which Should You Use to Earn From Videos?
Rumble is, by many, seen as an alternative to YouTube.
But is is a great one? In this short video, I will explain how I use Rumble and what my experiences are with it so you can find out if this is something you should consider using in addition to YouTube.
If you have any questions, just ask in a comment below. Also, if you have any experience with Rumble vs YouTube yourself, I would love to hear about them.
And if you have any topics you would like me to cover in future videos, just leave a comment below and I will take a look at it.

Youtube + Rumble sounds like the ultimate combo here. I know as people (and very popular Youtubers) have been banned, they have been moving their activities over to Rumble.
They seem to fade a bit after that though, because I imagine that their reach on Rumble was minimal to what they were getting within Youtube...which could be disheartening to an "influencer".
Thanks for sharing your experience here Mikael, very insightful!
Yes, it seems it is harder to grow an audience on Rumble as not that many people are using it as a search engine yet. As an affiliate marketer, I think it so far should mainly be a backup as YT still gives more opportunities.

Good morning Mikael,
Thank you for another informative post, it's appreciated.
I have often wondered if I should have used Rumble over YouTube for one of my channels, as my channel is a news/Christian type channel, which doesn't really go with YouTube's narrative.
I know of quite a few people who have moved to Rumble, due to the fact that they have been banned or had strikes from YouTube.
It's interesting that you also upload the same videos to Rumble, which is certainly not a bad idea in my opinion. The only question I have is does YouTube mind? In other words, could they penalise you? But I'm guessing probably not by what you are saying.
I do appreciate that it's good to have a backup source, especially the way some people get strikes on YouTube. And the fact that you said you never know what Rumble will grow into. I can also see fierce competition from Twitter video once it gets going.
Have a fantastic day and thank you again for the information.
Roy
I have not seen any indication that YouTube minds - but you need to make sure to choose the right license when uploading to Rumble.
Also, you can connect your Rumble to your YouTRube account so it automatically synchronizes all content BUT I have heard some people having seen a big decrease in views and income from YouTube when they do that, so that os something I would stay away from to be on the safe side.
My apologies, Mikael, it's been a busy few days and I overlooked replying to your comment.
I noticed what you said about Rumble, which is interesting. I've actually booked marked your video to remind myself to look at the Rumble settings and to find the right licence.
I did start to do that process, Mikael, but the process was extremely slow, I'm not quite sure why. I actually got a bit jittery about what I was doing, so I stopped doing that. It's interesting hearing your view on the subject, as it looks like I may have done the right thing.
All the best.
Roy
I actually have a full video on my YouTube channel where I show exactly how I upload videos there if you want to check it out: https://youtu.be/aeUbUYNawK4
Good morning Mikael,
Thank you so much, that is so helpful!
I have just watched your video and it literally answered my question!
I was going to ask you a question about choosing the right licence, as I couldn't find the setting. I didn't realise that this was the setting that appears each time we upload a video. I imagined that it would be a setting when we first sign up for the platform, but that's not so.
So thank you for answering my question. I'm going over to YouTube now to leave a comment on your excellent video.
Enjoy the rest of your day and have a good weekend.
Roy
PS: the reason I am on Rumble today is that last night, one of my videos received a strike. I know there is quite a fine line on YouTube, especially if the videos are going against the mainstream narrative and mine are. So, I uploaded my first video to Rumble today, as it received a strike on YouTube.
I will continue to use the YouTube channel regularly, as it's gaining traction, but I will only upload videos to YouTube that don't go against the narrative so much. I had already been thinking about making the YouTube channel more of a Christian devotional channel and using Rumble for videos that go against the mainstream narrative.
Glad it helped.
And yes, YouTube can be quite strict and is known for banning people that just say things that are a bit outside of what they think. That is why many channels that has content like that have started using Rumble.
But YT definitely still has the biggest audience, but sounds like a good plan for you to separate your videos like that to make sure you do not get banned on YT. You can for example check out how a guy like Russell Brand is doing it. He always refers to his Rumble channel for people that want to hear his full opinions.
It certainly did, Mikael!
I always like to support free speech, so it is good that we have an alternative. Recently, I was looking at my AdSense account for one of my websites, which is about garden and forestry machinery. There was a note on the account that said that AdSense would be stopped if I didn't follow the narrative of the Russian/Ukraine war! Obviously, my website is not related to this subject, but I found it amazing that you have to agree with what Google says.
Yes, I hear you regarding YouTube being the largest audience, which, realistically, I would prefer to be on. That's a really good example regarding Russell Brand; I actually follow him on YouTube and have just followed him on Rumble. Apparently, he has just reached a million followers on Rumble.
Thank you for your help and have a wonderful weekend.
Roy
Thanks to you too Roy.
