Why Readers Arent Succeeders
“Don’t let your learning lead to knowledge. Let your learning lead to action”. (Motivational speaker, Jim Rohn,)
But many wannabe entrepreneurs are learners. Readers. Collectors of information. Hoarders of “shelf help”.
They never put any of that learning into action.
But, here’s a hard truth: a man who knows only a few things, but puts all of them into action, will be far more successful than a man who knows EVERYTHING but only puts a few of them into action.
It does not matter what you know. It does not matter how many degrees you have. It does not matter how many books you’ve read. It does not matter how high your IQ is.
All that matters is what you DO with all that learning.
So here are my questions to you, I'd like some HONEST replies...
1.Is your learning leading only to knowledge…or is it leading to ACTION?
2.Is your action leading to results? (Result isn't just a beautiful blog...Think of your goal )
3. Do you suspect that you're waisting your time?
Thanks for the honesty!
Michael

Another true post here at wealthy affiliate. I have been reading to knowledge for several years. Just this year, I finally decided to convert that reading into action. I've had some positive results but I've just begun so I. Expect to see some great results around june/july. Great post!
That's a pretty judgmental statement stated as a fact when it can probably be only an opinion and based on...?

Harold, i appreciate your commenting, and yes this is an opinion based on my observation here ate WA. Most people here start with motivation, but few weeks into their online journey they figure out it takes more then they are willing do to reach success and they give up... Then they become readers if at all... i believe too that the people here are misled thinking they can get here everything they need to be successful online... But it's only my opinion Herold.
This is so true! I tend to read, read, read and it takes a long time for me to come to the action-part. I have to remind myself to take action too.
When I was younger I was reaching my goals. For some years now I have felt stuck.
2014 was a year when I questioning everything. Do I still want to be a teacher? Should I live where I am living or do I want to move? Do I really want to meet someone that I want to spend the rest of my life with or am I happy being single? What dreams do I have? Asking those questions I realized I lived a life I wanted to have - when I was younger. I had changed. My dreams and goals too. I was putting a lot of energy on things that wasn't important to me any more. I took my time to figure out what I wanted to keep and what I wanted to change.
This year I know what my dreams and goals are - and then it is easier to reach them :) I'm working towards my goals, I've made some changes in my life to be albe to focus on what is important to me. I've reached a few smaller goals. Let's see what is going to happen more in 2015.
Thank you for making me think!
I appreciate your Honesty Marie. Finally I am getting a real answer here. It seems like the people here at WA are nor really goal oriented. They are all readers, and not action takers. They pretend to be busy, but with no real objective. No real conviction. To reach goals, you have to set goals, and you have to take the right actions too.
I'm glad I could nudge you bit out of your comfort zone.
Let me know whenever you need help.
Anytime.
Michael
I realized I have better goals. Creating a great website is not a good goal. By when? What steps do I need to take? I have some work infront of me!
I will let you know if I need some help. Thanks!

This is so true, I'm completely guilty of this. So, how do you put all of this knowledge to use by converting it into action?
Thanks for asking... Get clear in your mind about what it is you want. the clearer the better. Learn what you need to do, and implement while you learn... Reading is hear-say, doing is experience! Be objective about your actions, and make sure you're taking the right actions. Just being busy isn't enough... If you're not sure what you should do, just connect with me, and bluntly said, WA doesn't have all the answers to make it online... Not at all...!
