3 to 4 words or a short phrase?
I posted a blog post here
how much is your contact manager worth? and if you do a search for that I come up number one.
Now will anyone every type that? Probably not but they may do something like it and hopefully I'll come up as well ;-)
Most likely they would be able to separate the words. I would avoid getting a .biz domain though
Steve has a good answer. Another good gauge is to think about what you or your potential visitors would write in the Google search box.

How long is too long for a "long tail Keyword"

I googled "How long is too long for a long tail Keyword" and clicked on this site: http://www.ppchero.com/chasing-the-long-tail-how-long-should-your-keywords-be/ which has some interesting info and stats on the long tail keyword. For instance, from the graph on the page it seems as though any advertising value drops of dramatically after 5 words. (6 worded ones have a 0.00% CR, while 5 worded ones have a 3.17% CR.)
