Enhancing Amazon Affiliate Marketing with Lasso

For bloggers and content creators who monetize their sites through Amazon's Affiliate Program, Lasso offers a streamlined way to manage and optimize affiliate links. This plugin is especially useful for those looking to enhance their WordPress site's earning potential with Amazon products. Here's a brief look at how Lasso can transform your Amazon affiliate marketing strategy.

What is Lasso?

Lasso is a WordPress plugin designed to make affiliate link management a breeze. It's particularly beneficial for users of Amazon's Affiliate Program, as it allows them to quickly add and manage Amazon product links within their content.

Key Benefits for Amazon Affiliates

  • Simplified Link Insertion: Instead of manually creating links through Amazon's affiliate portal, Lasso allows you to search for and insert Amazon products directly into your posts and pages.
  • Link Optimization: Lasso's automatic link insertion and cloaking features can help Amazon affiliates improve their click-through rates while keeping links neat and tidy.
  • Analytics: With Lasso, you can track the performance of your Amazon links, giving you insights into which products are resonating with your audience.

Getting Started with Lasso for Amazon

Setting up Lasso for Amazon affiliate marketing is straightforward:

  1. Install the WP Lasso plugin on your WordPress site.
  2. Connect your Amazon Affiliate account with Lasso. (There are Many How To Videos)
  3. Start adding Amazon products to your posts and pages through the Lasso interface.
  4. Paste the Short Code Anywhere in your post.

Tips for Amazon Affiliates Using Lasso
  • Relevance is Key: Always ensure the products you link to are relevant to your content and audience's interests.
  • Content Quality: Don't let the ease of adding links compromise the quality of your content. High-quality, valuable content should be your top priority.
  • Stay Compliant: Amazon has strict guidelines for affiliates. Make sure your use of Lasso complies with Amazon’s terms of service, including proper disclosure of affiliate links.
  • Review and Optimize: Use Lasso's analytics to review the performance of your Amazon links and optimize accordingly.
Wrapping Up: My Take on Lasso for WP After a Week of Usage

After integrating Lasso for WP into my website just over seven days ago, I'm already witnessing promising outcomes. Admittedly, the plugin comes with a steeper price tag, but given the recent updates to Amazon's linking functionalities, the investment seems to justify itself for me. The monetization benefits it offers are becoming apparent, and I've found its API setup to be refreshingly straightforward.

While Lasso offers a complimentary lite version, it's worth noting that it lacks the ability to fetch images and prices—a limitation that could affect the attractiveness of your affiliate links. However, if you're serious about maximizing your earning potential, springing for the full version could be a strategic move.

Ultimately, whether Lasso is the right tool for your affiliate marketing arsenal will depend on your specific needs and goals. It's a calculated investment, one that could potentially enhance your revenue streams. I encourage you to weigh its features against your requirements.

Best of luck with your decision, and here's to your success in the blogosphere. Happy blogging! And as Always, Thank You For Shopping At Wal-Mart! Oh wait, that was my first job...

Michael, man you got style ya know that. I never used Lasso. I dont use Amazon but they are good too for another affiliate products especially for roundup products review. You mentioned they have monthly plans when you sign up. If you go over their monthly page views you have to upgrade to higher tier which would be the most expensive enterprise plan. Thats steep for a beginner obviously. All I see is yearly plans. Thanks for sharing your experiences with it. Does monthly use lite version and yearly is full version ? I didnt know they had that.

I am currently on the Monthly. As soon as you subscribe to Lasso you are redirected to download and install a zip file. You also receive instructions on how to install and convert you Lite Version over to their paid product. It took all of 5 minutes to Install, including the time it took to grab my API key and Secret code from Amazon. If you get stuck, there are loads of youtube video on how to accomplish it with ease.

Lasso plugins do not allow monthly anymore. They removed the monthly plans after Amazon stopped offering their images in SiteStripe. They stopped using the monthly plans because they did not want newbies to use them, then dropped it after they got their first three sales, and then canceled. They noticed higher cancellation rates monthly, so now Lasso, according to the owner, whom I talked to Andrew, stated no way. He wouldn't let my client go monthly. My client has to pay the full yearly price, which he does not have. I am working with my client on his coffee blog. Now, to get 3 sales, it's only a text link. After you get three sales, they convert you to their AP API. Newbies can not take any photos, not even screenshots, on Amazon; they can only try manufacturer screenshots or use a text link to the product. It's just not affordable for me or my client at this time. I guess we will just have to prod on.

There is another option called Affilinija. I will dig up the link for you and message you.

Some great info, Michael!

Jeff

Thank You

You're very welcome!

Thanks for sharing.
I started using Lasso right after amazon announced the end of site stripe images.
It has saved me from having to change my links one by one.
Their one click import was a life saver!
Yes it is expensive, but I’m seeing the value in it.
Jenny.

@phil1944 is having issues with this feature as he searches for a solution. I hope it works out for him as it did for you and I. That feature and the suggestions it brings is amazing.

Yes, Hopefully it works out for Phil.
I know he has been dedicated to finishing his training on the whole Amazon debacle!
