social media comments

Is it possible to have social media comments pulled straight from their source into the comments on the post or page itself? I have a pretty good conversation going about a new solar device I wrote about but nobody is leaving any comments on the post itself, only in the Facebook group - is there a tool that would mirror the two? I need some comments to boost my site health :) anybody up for an interesting read? I've asked for comments on this but I have yet to get any and apparently I don't know how to comment vs give feedback properly because I've had a few disapproved :( wanna show me how it's done? :)

I haven't used it but search for the Facebook Comments Plugin.
I hope it helps.

yeah so I apparently had a blonde moment LOL I did search for Facebook Comments and found the Lazy FB Comments Plugin which works really well actually! I already had a FB Developer account set up so it connected right away :) not sure where the comments are going at the moment and it can't retrieve previous comments which I expected but it's fine! it's good! gonna be alright :) Now I think I need to change my hair color LOL

Awesomeness!! I hope it works!! If not there are several others you can try. Don’t change it! It’s beautiful!!

Have you tried the site comment/ site feedback here at WA?

1

yes, I've given and received feedback with no problem but my comments have been disapproved more often than not and I've yet to receive any comments on my pages at all.

The only thing I can think of is taking a screenshot of the conversation and posting is in a WordPress post. But as far as transferring comments/conversation, I don't think it's possible. If it was people would hack the system, so I think it's a safe guard effect by disallowing site hosts to copy and paste comments.

I'm also not an expert so don't take my word for it - just my two cents.

I see your point there and I have seen people take screenshots of comments but I honestly think that's a little cheezy. I have seen on some websites though where it gives you the option to "post comment to Facebook" before, but I haven't seen it the other way around like "post comment to source" or something, you know? hmmm might have to research that.

You know I just stumbled upon a WordPress tool that offers "capture comments." Maybe its worth looking into - it could solve your problem! https://bloggersrefuge.com/thrive-architect

I wondered about this to. My mom is a of course a huge fan of mine but of course she doesn't understand no matter how many times I explain leave a comment of the site she always leaves it on facebook to. I have a couple like that

1

LOL Moms are great like that ;) My mom ran her own business for years but I had to get into tech support just so I could show her how to run updates on her computer.

I love that my mom just started using the internet in Nov. She still has a flip phone and with in the last couple of weeks she has finally discovered how to text still a progress in work
Too funny about your mom it truly is great to teach your own parent something

1

LOL the only problem is that my mom and I were always very stubborn in how to do things so any time I tried to show her something, she would make a mess and then call somebody else. Needless to say, I went to work in a corporate environment pretty quick, it was so much easier to reset passwords for people I didn't know. LOL

1

That is great lol. Mine always just says I don't understand it is too much

1

let me guess, then she turns around and goes to the kitchen and cooks an elaborate meal with like 1 chicken breast, a bouillon cube and a bunch of vegetables that come out of nowhere LOL

1

Well she definitely turns around and finds something else to do but I am the cooker here.
It sounds like my mom and your mom need to get together lol
