Life Goes On

Hi everyone,
I hope everyone is well and being productive.
A minor update about Jeff Brown.
When I asked his friend Ron if there were any positive development, Ron just said Jeff was "pleasantly confused". I did not inquire whether he was in a nursing home yet. I will ask that at the end of the month.
We were just texting back and forth.
Ron did reach out to Jeff's mom who lives in Alaska and Jeff and her used to talk daily as well.
I still have many mixed emotions about this.
I've lost my best friend.
Its highlighted how precious time is especially the present moment.
I think also of Bruce Willis and his condition.
And of course, I look at my own mortality and hoping to be with Melissa Jeane, my 4 year old daughter for as many more years as possible. It almost brings me to tears thinking about it.
What I can do is work harder to improve my health and I am, I believe, finally taking that very seriously.
Jeff, we wish you the very best and if by some miracle your health situation can improve, we will all be delighted to hear such news.
Please enjoy the rest of your week!
To Our Success!

Good morning Mel,
Thank you for your blog post and the update on Jeff; it's appreciated.
It does sound like Jeff is in a slightly better way, let's pray for a complete miracle!
I think it's good to try and keep fit, Mel, when we spend time at a desk for a long time, it's easy to become unfit. I have been told by doctors that if you can walk 2 miles every day, that is a huge plus point. Thankfully I thoroughly enjoy walking, so it's never been a problem.
My off-line business keeps me reasonably fit, but it does make me think about how I'm going to keep fit when I go full-time online. I really think that keeping fit has to be a priority.
I sincerely hope that you and your family have many happy years together; there is no reason why you shouldn't if you keep yourself fit.
Have a fantastic day.
Roy
Hi Mel,
I just wanted to say as a reminder that it is very important to look after your health because as you age that is one of the things that we must do as human beings so we can also have the strength to be able to take care of one another.
We are all praying for Jeff's health to improve. Slowly but surely. 🙏 ✨

Thank you for sharing this update about Jeff Brown. It sounds like a deeply emotional and challenging situation, and I truly appreciate your openness. I can understand how difficult it must be to process the loss of such a close friendship, especially when memories and connections like these remind us of the preciousness of time.
It’s touching to hear that Ron has been in contact with Jeff’s mom and is keeping those lines of communication open. I hope that with time, Jeff finds peace and comfort in his surroundings, wherever he may be.
Your reflections about Bruce Willis, your own journey, and the hope to be present for your daughter Melissa Jeane resonate deeply. These moments remind us how fleeting life is and the importance of cherishing the people closest to us. You have my heartfelt support, and I hope you find solace knowing you are doing your best to stay present and connected with those who matter most.
Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you need someone to talk to or share your thoughts.
Warm regards,
Elke

That's mildly good news on Jeff. It sounds like he's in no pain so that's good. I hope he continues to improve, although it may be slow progress.
You rightly focus on your health Mel. Staying fit is a good thing to bear in mind, especially for us seniors.
My pet sitting/dog walking gets me out in the fresh air so that's good. It varies by pet though, at the moment we have a Jack Russell, so medium walks twice per day. Previous to that was a Pouchon who didn't need more than a couple of hundred yards a day.
When we go to Spain we usually walk > 8,000 steps per day, so no problem. The important thing is to always do something.
