Spam from Godaddy registered domains

MULTIPLE SPAM

I don't know what prompted this, but in the past few weeks I've started getting significant spam emails from godaddy registered domains. Multiple spam from the same sender in the same day. No real pattern. It started with one message relating to each domain, coming once a day. Then it started coming every 12 hours, now its sometimes 3 hours.

The websites are registered in the USA for a service in the USA. If I lived there I may even think they were reasonable services. And even though I had not subscribed to the mails, I tried the unsubscribe option. Of course, no response. And no change.

I also replied to the email to request removal. Simply no response.

Then I started forwarding them to abuse@godaddy.com which seemed to be ok for just a few days. But then the deluge really started.

REPORT INDIVIDUALLY

2 days ago I forwarded the whole days worth (30 emails) again to abuse@godaddy.com . This time I had 30 replies that suggested I need to report them individually on their abuse form.

I did one. Which was laborious but sucessfully submitted. 2nd report resulted in an error message. Tried submitting that one multiple times after refreshing the page, but it would not go through. Is Godaddy really interested? I think not.

SUGGESTIONS

Does anyone have any suggestions for reporting this flagrant abuse? I have previously reported spam to the Better Business Bureau in the USA where the site is registered. I also report to the Information Commissioners Office (ICO) where I am based in the UK.

Its not the usual porn or viagra spam so I wanted to do the right thing, but its relentless and seems to be increasing in volume.

Lexington Law, Liberty Mutual, JG Wentworth, Quicken Loans, AARP membership, PennyMac loan services, Terminix International pest control.

and many more. Most of the mails include the same sender address, and all the sender addresses are registered with Godaddy.

Luckily 90% of the messages are automatically caught in my spam folder but the sheer volume of messages means I am possibly overlooking genuine emails inbetween.

These days, I don't get much random spam for which I am grateful. But even in the darkest days of enlarging devices, I don't think I had as many as what is coming through now.

JUST ACCEPT THE STATUS QUO?

Maybe I just have to shrug my shoulders and let it continue, if the spam catcher can pick up 90%, then I should be grateful for that? Part of being online in the 21st century?

But it burns me that so many "apparently" genuine websites are going above and beyond, and they suffer no consequences. And certainly Godaddy should take some responsibility for that!

Am I being irrational?
