Asking questions. How and where?

So.

I want to ask a question about something. The platform suggests I use the Ask Question option by clicking the magnifying glass.

But I'm unable to attach an image or screen shot when I use that option.

So I prefer to simply Ask the Question on my blog roll, as I am doing now. Since more format features are available.

Does anyone notice that the question is coming as a blog post, or as a question?

In addition, when someone asks a question via the question feature as I have done, I notice that it is not possible to add an image. Yet by adding this as a blog post, I am able to add any image as required.

So of course, its possible that I have missed a step or 2. But as always, I appreciate any input into the workings of the system.

Thanks

Michael

I don’t think you can add images for either of the question platforms. You can ask a question in the WA blog and add an image.

Hi Michael

Go to your profile ...
at the top of the profile are:
My Blog / Questions / Training

Click on Questions then
there's a box where you can type a question.
When you select that box up pops a panel for typing your question that has an editing function where you can find, select and insert an image by clicking the Image icon ...
Phew...
:-)

Thank you Richard! That is exactly what I was looking for.
I'm so glad I asked the question and it appears that other folk didn't know to follow that route either.

Hey Michael, had you not asked the question elsewhere in the first place, I would not have gone hunting. I learned too! We all benefit when a question is asked.

Use the magnifying glass icon and type something into the top of the window that opens up. You should be able to add images when you do it this way and your question will be seen by more people. Only people who are following you will see your blog posts.

Thank you for your help Marion.

I wanted to add an image to the question and I couldn't find a way.

Since then I discovered that clicking Question at my profile allows for an image to be added to a question.

Thank you Marion. You have also cleared up another question that was brewing. Or rather clarified it.
Now I understand better the difference between adding a blog post (which I was doing for my questions) and asking the question itself.

I have seen so many questions asked on the blog roll Michael, that I have never given it too much thought.
I only referred to the magnifying glass if I was searching for something, not for asking questions.
I see questions in the chat also, no screenshots obviously.

Michael.
