I think the idea of making a website of your wife's homemade recipes is a great idea. I think many people would find this beneficial and even pay for these recipes.
Both are good ideas. I like the idea of your wife's medicinal things. But, I wouldn't give them away. Maybe offer one free and then ask a small amount for the other recipes like five dollars each or something. There are plug-ins for setting up that kind of thing. You could still sell natural medicinal products on your site.

I like that idea, recipes, and affiliate with an ingredient seller. You could create a pdf ebook with a few recipes for incentive to sign up to your list. And offer the complete recipe ebook for a few dollars
