What's your motivation? For me, it's family
I'm sitting here watching a tv show with my wife while my 2 year old daughter is sound asleep. My wife is 37 weeks pregnant and the doctor told us today that we should consider inducing this weekend and eventually we agreed. It was a long day of back and forth discussions and major decision making, so yes, escaping with a tv show, and bowl of ice cream each, sounded like a fabulous idea!
It did get me thinking, though, why is it that we're all here? What's your motivation?
My answer to that question is an easy one.....my family. Two days from now I'll be in the hospital experiencing one of life's greatest joys as my son is born....it's a time that makes one reflect and think.
I cannot wait for him to be born, cannot wait to hold him and love him, and most of all, I cannot wait for that moment when my daughter meets her brother for the first time! To me and my wife, family means absolutely everything. It is the most important thing in our lives, and for me, it's my motivation.
Whatever your motivation may be, it's crucial that you make sure to take some time and "turn it all off". Press the power button on your laptops and mobile devices. Disconnect from the online world and reconnect with the reason you're there.
I know I'll be doing just that and I encourage you to always remember to do the same.

I agree there are certain things closer to your heart....in the end for me it is about getting rid of separatism, borders, patriotism and anything that makes us hate our fellow human beings....we are all part of one family...earth......sorry, I always think of the big picture...
