I got emails saying that my posts are indexed by Google and although I'm glad to hear that I don't see my post or website when I search for the keyword that I used as the title

Matt if I understand your question correctly, you emails are telling that the post is indexed. Indexed means Google has added your post to its search database, which also holds billions of other sites.

The reason why you don’t see your site or post when you search for your targeted keyword is because your post hasn’t outranked the people on the first page of the search engines.

In other words out of every blogger that wrote an article on your same keyword, your post isn’t outranking theirs. Therefore your post could be on page 45 of the search engine.

So to find where it is in the search engine, you’ll have to literally put your keyword in search and keep hitting next page at the bottom of Google, Bing, or Yahoo.

It could take sometime to come across it. But when you do you’ll see your post and you’ll also see what page your post sits on.

By the way, Bing and Yahoo will probably give you more rankings in the beginning before Google does. At least that was my experience for 6 months straight. Keep posting quality content.

I hope this helps.

Thank you for the explanation, I did not know that that is how it worked.

Basically I just have to keep going and wait, right?

You're welcome!

It's okay, I didn't learn none of this myself until recently. So, I thought I'd let you know how it works. I also don't know where you are in your training so, I don't want to tell you too much and get you all confused.

So, in short, yes, you have to keep going, by writing high quality content preferably (1000 + words)

I noticed that in the beginning stages the more you article you can publish, the faster you can start seeing rankings, traffic...etc..but, this does require writing consistently high quality content with proper targeted keywords and you must do this almost everyday if you can.

Plus, as you keep going you'll learn that you need to internal link your previous post. By internal linking your previous post, it will boost the rankings on them.

For example, in my first message I said your post could be on page 45.

Okay so, as you keep writing content if you were to internal link that post on page 45 to several other post, it could help boost the rankings.

However, you want to make sure you are internal linking naturally.

So, another example, if your post was talking about "Dog Food", you certainly wouldn't want to internal link your Dog Food post to a cat food article. I hope that makes sense. Anyhow, you'll also want to try and get comments on all of your articles, this helps push your post up ahead of many marketers. It tells Google that you are getting some sort of engagement and people must be loving your content. So, Google will start to notice this eventually. https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/websites/comments

Either way, as time goes on, that article that you wrote will eventually keep increasing in rankings as long as you have choosen a proper targeted keyword.

I wrote post a year ago and it has just now ranked on Google, Bing, and Yahoo. Then again there were post that I wrote and it immediately got ranked.

So, it can take time to start getting rankings, depending on the keyword competition and the bloggers you're in going up against. (your competitors)

I know what helped me with my rankings is following Jays webinar training on 21 minutes to rankings. It's about an hour or so long but, it really did help me so, I think it may also help you too...

Wow! This is amazing and very valuable information! You're going to be my mentor from now on :)

Thank you!

P.S. I wish I could give you 100 likes!

Hi, Matt, you should see your site but you have to type the complete URL for it to show in the Google Search.
All the best, Matt.

Thanks KL, but the issue isn't seeing the site after typing the complete URL, I already see it that way.

My question is about why my site doesn't show up in the SERPs when I search that specific keywords?

Can anyone help with this question?

When you say Google Index, Matt, it means just that.
Google has indexed your site.
The one you meant is SEO.
It is entirely a different thing.
That is what the training at WA here trying to teach us.
Continue your training and you will come to it.

That's a good question. I have had the same message about indexing over a month ago and can't find posts on Google. Used Alexa ranking aswell and couldn't have my site found.

Hopefully someone can answer this question Andrew. My site has only been live for just under 2 months and I'm feeling the loss in motivation because of this.

If you, you can click the websites tab > site manager > login to your site which will bring you to the site back office page, and on the left side > customize to change features, and click post or pages to edit posts or pages.

I hope that helps if it's what you were asking about.

I forget to also mention, what about changing my theme layout?

It is the relevance of the affiliate products to your website that counts. It does not matter where these products come from.

I had the same question Matt, Thanks, that helped me too.

Thank you Maryse, glad I could help in some way lol!

Matt

You can have as many affiliate programs as you like Matt. As long as its relevant you'll be fine. There's no point in leaving any money on the table when there's money to be made.

Thanks John, that makes sense!
