Is it Spam?

Having just spent the last 7-days in hospital it's time to catch up. I haven't done any training or updated any of my sites during that time but I have kept up with emails although not replied to them, lack of energy and enthusiasm at this stage. However I'm feeling much better and looking forward to getting back into the swing of things.
One thing I noticed was the amount of what I call SPAM on my social media accounts. I don't mind promotion, heck I've done it a couple of times but I am tired of the same old same old. It's lead me to the question, do i even want social media? Yes, I know it's supposed to be beneficial for promotion but frankly I think there needs to be a line drawn as to how much promotion is far too much promotion.
I am now at the stage where I am considering blocking others. I figure if you're going to constantly promote yourselves on others social media have some respect and don't spam the accounts. No there is nothing new in any of the posts, it's the same old just an update.

Is it just me or do others find this annoying as well? I know in the training Kyle mentioned you shouldn't just use it for self promotion but use it to discuss other topics to keep the intersest. Well frankly, my interest has just about bottomed out.
I set myself a limit of promoting on social media no more than once every 4 or 5 days, too long, perhaps but at least I know when I do post it's about content and not just how are you today here's an update.
Sorry to be a downer but when you're in hospital the last thing you want is the same old.
