Best Place To Get Images For Your Sites
Do you struggle with finding a place to find images to use on your site?
Because...you know that you cannot simply go to Google photos and take any image you like there and use it on your own site. No, no, no....many of those are copyrighted and if they are, you cannot use them.
I used to struggle with this. Then, I learned some tricks!
1. First, you can use some images from Google. You just have to make sure that they're not copyright protected. So, here's how you sort out the ones that you can use. Just Google something that you want an image for. Click on Images to get into the Google Images screen. Now, across the top you will see SETTINGS and TOOLS. Click on TOOLS. You see some dropdowns appear. Size/Color/Type/Time/Usage Rights/More Tools. Click the down arrow next to Usage Rights. It defaults to Not Filtered By License and this is why you may be getting copyrighted images. Choose one of the other options that are labeled for Reuse.
So that's one way to find images. The thing is...I don't always find that the quality of these is very good.
2. I've compiled a list of other sources where you can get images. Some require attribution and some do not. Here's the list:
Free Stock Images
- Pexels
- Unsplash (Attribution required)
- Superfamous (Attribution required)
- PicJumbo
- Pixabay
- IM Free (Attribution required)
- Gratisography
- Morgue File
- Free Images (Some Attribution required)
- Little Visuals
- New Old Stock
- Picography
- Getrefe
- Jay Mantri
- Public Domain Archive
Not sure if the links will work here since I've copied/pasted. But if not you can find some of these by simply Googling!
Happy Googling!
