Intuition or Extuition.

The driving job I was due to do today was cancelled.... So my thoughts went to my friends here at WA, and after pondering how I might be of assistance or hopefully enlightenment somewhere, the word "Intuition" came to my mind......

"Intuition"... defined as "The ability to understand something instinctively; without the need for concious reasoning....."

"In the bottom of our built in wardrobe, which was deemed a safe nest".....,

We have a beautiful Mummy cat and "Intuition" was so evident, as 18 months ago a blissful moment occurred and 7 little baby kittens arrived, 3 first and then 20 minutes later, another 4. Mummy was rescued from a dirty and lethal enviroment and we took her under our wing along with our other 3 rescues. She refused to clean herself and her language was terrible! Much love ensued and then, a short while after, when she realised she was going to have babies, she went into a mad cleaning spree, first herself, her coat suddenly shone, her language changed overnight, then along came the babies....

The following weeks were a fascination for my wife and I, Giulietta (Mummy cat) never left her babies for the first week, not for food, not for toilet, nothing... Yet, there was no mess.. she cleaned and cleaned and cleaned... even pushing out the dirty bedding and finding clean, which we had left nearby... "Intuition"... No one showed her how?.....

"Diva, Nello, Bella, Benjy, Dino and (just out of shot) Zagato...

The kitty's grew, they wiggled around, Giulietta allowed a certain amount of distance, but never out of eyesight, then she would collect them back to the nest... The other cats would come to look but were told by a little hissing, that that was close enough!! Protection is phenomenol... only we were allowed to clean around her and the babies, and permitted the occasional little touch...

The babies eyes opened, then the legs became usable, and mummy's job became a bit harder... But it was evident that she had explained boundaries to her babies... "Intuition" again!......

"Bella"

The point about "Intuition", that I am perhaps making a little clumsily, is, that even in my life, I have "Instinctively" known when I am doing something right, joining WA being one of them... But, also, the "trap" I have fallen into, on too many occasions, is to "argue" with my "Intuition" and waste so much time looking for the difficult way to do something, instead of listening to, what I afterwards realise, was the right ,and invariably easier way...... So everybody....

FIND PEACE, MAKE A TEA OR COFFEE, LISTEN TO YOUR "INSTINCT"......

FOLLOW IT........

............... AND ...........................

"DON'T ARGUE WITH IT"

"18 MONTHS ON, CHRISTMAS DINNER LAST YEAR"....

"EXTUITION....."

I then pondered on the alternatives and came up with "Extuition"... a word I thought probably didn't exist... but hey, good ol' Google, someone beat me to it... Another lost "Niche"...

"Extuition" defined as "Intuition" that is confirmed externally through objective experiments...

"WOW!!" I've been doing that nearly all my life and didn't realise "it" had a "noun"...

So fellow bloggers and wonderful friends... Put some "Extuition" into your every day and as the definition expands on...

"Extuition"...

"It makes you look twice" (but still only think once!) and "It's the best way to create an improved future...."

"Enzo" ... I thought perhaps Daddy cat should get a mention.."Handsome ain't he?"

Thank you for sharing my family with me... May they bless your day.... Martyn

I have two cats at the current time. Victor and Victoria, they are wonderful with my four children. I love cats

It is such a joy to know that your children are being enveloped in the affection that these beautiful little creations give so generously... They will grow up knowing a love that too few ever encounter... Enjoy... ;-)

We were out of town for a week and boy were the cats happy when we got home. We had the neighbor boy stop by and play and replenish the food and water bowl. Its funny cause the cats are usually annoyed by being chased by my 8 year old. But now that we were gone for a bit, the cats pay more attention to him now and let him catch them.

Marty,
You have something special young man. You are intuitive enough to record the significance of the small stuff because it's all small stuff that makes life meaningful. Don't sweat the small stuff! Just know that there's meaning to behold.

I am flattered... Thank you... "Young man"... perhaps not, but age if invested wisely, brings wisdom... I am thankful for your "looking over my shoulder"... Education from yourself is very welcome... Martyn

Gorgeous family. Thanks for sharing the photos.

Thank you, yes they truly are the best family in the whole wide world and so very peaceful....

Great post Martyn! Thanks for sharing this story and how cute are the kitties?

Glad you liked my precious family... They bring a completely different outlook on life and I truly believe they inspire me in so many ways...

Martyn those cats are simply beautiful! Well done on looking after them and mommy! I love your post and the way you have explained things, well done :)

Thank you Jude... Yes I live a dream life... our TV packed up nearly 18 months ago and we haven't bothered replacing it... Our "family" fills each and every day with joy... By the way I have just added Daddy cat's picture as well... Thought he should get a look in since he did all the hard work ;-)
