I was going to install the Tweet, Like, Google +1 and Share plugin, as Kyle suggested. This is the message that pops up.

Hi, Marsha!
Don't do it. Plugins that are not tested on your version of WordPress can break your site. Unfortunately, the WordPress platform is constantly changing and updating, and not all plugins keep up with it. Find a similar plugin that is tested on your version of WordPress.

The free social plugin I use is called "Social Icons" by ThemeGrill. I like it and it works fine.

Is it ok to use plugin not tested with my wordpress version?

You can go on the individual social media site, and there are instructions how to place the social logo on your site. For example, just enter on google, "how to add twitter logo on website" and there are detailed instructions on how to do so

I have followed all of the instructions and even when I select Left or Right it still creates a break in the paragraph and the picture is centered in the space.I tried logging
Hi, Marsha!
Are you updating and viewing it outside of the editor? What Theme are you using?
Gary
Yes I have, and I am using Emotions LiteVersion: 1.0.5.
Right before you posted this somebody else said they tried it and think it is the theme, so I am going to try a new theme and see if that fixes my problem. Bummer though since I took forever to choose the theme. :)
Hi, Marsha!
Sometimes the free version of a theme has limited functions. It's maddening, but this is how the creator of the theme markets the paid version. This is why I recommend the Twenty Sixteen theme. It's a basic theme, but honest.
Keep me posted.
Gary
if I switch to the Twenty Sixteen theme, will everything just move over? I looked at the Live Preview and it only showed the main page with no menu.
I just switched it over. It looks like everything is there and it is now text-wrapping. Thanks for your help!
Yes, Marsha. If you upload the Twenty Sixteen theme and activate it, all of your pages and posts will automatically switch over.
Gary
hi marsha what theme are you using?
when you say you have selected left or right where are you
in the media editor or the main editor?
remember we cannot see what you are doing
have you tried after putting the picture in the post
clicking on it and using the left or right?
have you tried using the drag with left mouse click to position it at the end of a line of text?
hope you get it sorted
phil
I have selected "Insert Media", chose the image that I downloaded, Attachment Display Settings - I selected Right.
I am using Emotions LiteVersion: 1.0.5
I have tried dragging it and it then leaves it as if I selected none for the setting.
Thanks,
i have just tried it and i think it is a theme problem
all the other themes i am using work ok wrapping text around the picture but not this one
sorry - i think if you want that you will need to pick another theme
just tried a few options under customise but no joy
you can either contact the theme support or choose another one - not all themes are made
you maybe able to install wpedit and add a table with two columns
add the picture to the right or left and text in the other box
just thought
just tried it and it works
setup a table 1row 2 columns - put picture into one cell and text into the other
unfortunately most things may move dependent on the new theme layout
see my response above for a poss workaround
good luck if you choose a new theme
