My Weekly Update: Analytics, Pinterest Growth & Image Studio Wins
Hey friends 👋🏾
Just dropping in with my Week 11 Affiliate Bootcamp Update and site results! Its a bit late because I've had to put into other things this week but I'm happy with what I've been able to accomplish 😁
This one’s a mix of numbers, experiments, and some lessons learned both on and off the platform.
Site Analytics Overview
Traffic continues to grow bit by bit, and I’m happy with the direction things are heading. Here’s where things stand right now:
- 30-day Active Users: 502
- 7-day Active Users: 124
- New Users: 480
- 1-day Activity: 9
- Avg. Engagement Time: 11 seconds
I know engagement time could be better and I'm a bit stressed about it because since I've been putting in TLDRs its plumetted. So I've been wondering if its good to continue with them or not. I've also thought about putting my cta in with the TLDR but this part is still a work in progress for me.
On Google Analytics, I’m seeing consistent activity, with a nice spike during the week of Nov 23. That was right around the time I dropped some helpful blog content and engaged in a few new outreach methods.
Pinterest Is Picking Up
I’ve been focusing more on Pinterest lately and although it didn't seem to be worth it at first, after about a month or so, I’m starting to see some movement. Heres a brief look at my stats:
- Monthly Views: 1.2K
- Impressions: 1.31K (up 191%)
- Engagements: 87 (up 67%)
- Outbound Clicks: 21
- Total Audience Growth: +638%
One thing I’ve noticed is that posts without links in the comments seem to reach more people, but they get fewer outbound clicks. The thing is that am getting better outbound clicks than my other page that has way more monthly views but I’m going to ride that wave for a bit to build visibility. Then when I get to a certain point slowly reintroduce clickable comments once I’ve gained some momentum there.
Tech Glitches & Indexing Woes
I’ve had some tech issues this week and I'm not sure if its partly what's hurting my rankings.
First of all, my Google Site Kit is still giving me issues (error when trying to connect)but I know that is not a big deal.
What has been bothering me a bit though is Bing Webmaster keeps saying my site can’t be indexed. I’ve checked my robots.txt, and nothing looks blocked. I have a couple of search clicks on Bing but nothing major. And this is not a singular site issue. I'm having the same issue on my other site as well.
So if anyone’s had this happen and figured it out or knows what's going on I'd love to hear your insights.
New Blog Post + Video Content
This week, along with Affiliate Bootcamp, I published my Wealthy Affiliate Image Studio Review, where I share how I'm using the tool for pet niche content and Pinterest pins.
I also recorded a walkthrough showing how I made the pins, what performed well, and a few stats that I did for this review as well. I also recorded some short form video which I fell off from a bit.
But I'm getting there. As I've shared previously about some things I'm self-concious about but my daughters were so excited to see my video. My oldest was literally cheering me on the whole time and baby girl even pays attention to them and gets really excited so of course that makes my day, lol.
Facebook Ads: On & Off Again
I paused my ads for a bit to re-evaluate, but I’ve started running some light campaigns again. I’m experimenting with how I share WA blog content trying to get more people to join. I've been experimenting with writing blogs tailored to a new comer versus directing people straight to the homepage all while not being overbaring about it.
I also realized the other day that I've been doing this for a couple months so its ok that I haven't got any sign-ups yet. Typically, by my experience (without ads, I've never used ads up until now), it takes about 3 months for affiliate earnings to kick in so I'll just keep at it.
Takeaway For The Week
Right now, it’s about staying consistent, continuing to learn and try new things. The numbers are helpful indicators that progress is happening.
If you're working on building your traffic and wondering if it’s "working," I just want to encourage you to give yourself grace and stick with it. Things are moving. Even small shifts matter.
More updates soon. If you're on Pinterest or trying out FB ads too, let me know! I'd love to swap ideas and grow together.
