60 Day Pinterest Strategy Update, Plans, & Lessons Learned

Hi there,

I want to share my 60 day update stats real quick before it gets to be 90 days. Technically speaking, these stats are halfway between 60 and 90 so you can do the math if you want the exact amount of days.

To recap, I created a family travel focusing on beaches called Fun Shores Ahead which I've pretty much been growing along with live training since the Pinterest strategy series. I started posting Pinterest at the beginning of the year, 2026, and am coming up on finishing my first campaign after the initial category pages campaign.

If that sounds confusing, have a look at the Pinterest strategy training here

My ultimate goal is to create income of course, but I also want to build a resource to get some travel sponsorships or deals without dragging my family around like a sack of potatoes. I think that would ruin the travel experience for all of us and I don't want that for my family. To each their own and I'm not judging someone else's familial decisions.

As not to make things confusing, I will post links to my previous updates at the bottom of this and subsequent posts.

Pinterest Stats

90 Pinterest StatsThe screenshot above shows my current stats for the last 90 days. So you can see on Pinterest I'm getting:

  • ~27k impressions
  • 1,340 engagements
  • 412 Outbound clicks
  • 82 saves

The stat that I watch the most is the outbound clicks. I have calculated that according to the Pinterest training strategy, outbound clicks stay at about 1% of the total impressions.

So seeing that, Im' quite happy with my outbound clicks stats wise but truthfully speaking, impatience sometimes takes over since it is still slow growth. So its important to note that this is a slow and steady process. Keep the faith friends πŸ˜πŸ€—

My Most Popular Pin Was Actually Unintentional

On a whim, I created a pin for Valentine's Day as a response to a member in the community posting some Valentine's Day prompt ideas. Since I spent credits on it, I also decided to just post it on Pinterest to celebrate Valentine's Day.

It was merely an expression to show that I love Valentine's Day, the beach, and share the love of love. So that it doesn't take up to much space, here's a snippet of it.

Honestly, I'm not a hundred percent a fan of this image. First of all, I'm much taller than this. This matters to me in the sense that another tall woman is viewing it because I know how much struggle with their height, especially when it comes to relationships.

But still, if I take myself out of it, sure, they're beautiful pictures and still representative to other things I'm passionate about.

Either way, I didn't expect it to do so well. And at first it didn't do well. Its a scout pin and I posted it about a month ago. Its become more popular in the passed week or so.

So the moral of the story is to post even if you're unsure about it. Sometimes that's the content that resonates the best with others. And the others who are meant to get it will get it and build your audience and eventual community.

And that is what we have to remember the most is that we're not marketing to ourselves, we're marketing to someone else. So not necessarily becoming someone else but sometimes what resonates with them is different than what we think.

Overall Site Analytics

Right now my monthly site traffic is sitting around 720 visitors. Most of my traffic is being driven through social media, the main platforms that I am currently working with are Pinterest and Facebook.

I am working on my YouTube strategy which I will hopefully implement soon but I also wanted to get my email marketing setup as well.

I thought it would be pretty interesting to see how my site has done over the past 90 days and you can see that in the image above.

Now that I am getting data in there are definitely some clear subjects that are standing out moreso than others. Some are unexpected and creating somewhat of an evolution from my initial travel destinations goal into a resource for family travel.

Facebook Stats

After Pinterest, my next biggest traffic source is Facebook where I am mostly posting videos. I try to do daily but have been missing some days recently as my family and I took a spontaneous mini-vacay to the beach. Taking advantage of some spring resort sales.

I've also been working on buiding out my email marketing strategy so between building the guide and learning strategies in general, I did miss some posts. Yes, I can schedule them out too but I just haven't done that yet as I'm still working out different strategies for different topics, timing, etc.

Plans Going Forward

I have just finished my email marketing campaign setup. I used ChatGPT to help me figure out good strategy, lead magnets, placements, etc. I also learned some things from watching Jay's latest live training on email marketing strategy.

As I mentioned before, I will also be starting to work on YouTube as well as optimizing current articles that are starting to stand out on the site.

Now my next goal is to start selling some digital products. A couple areas of interest are cookbooks and planning tools. Pinterest has opened my eyes to the possibilities but I am really working extra hard to stay focus and intentional so that I don't lose my place chasing all the things.

Previous Updates

If you want to see my previous updates, here are a few:

Also, I had a question on my thoughts about Pinterest and the pet niche which I will write about soon. I've found a couple of strategies helpful in finding good placements even though Pinterest is very product heavy when it comes to the pet niche.

If you have any questions or want specific info lmk in the comments.

Until next time keep doing what your doing, keep the faith, breath and lets be patient together,

Marlinda
