Pinterest Win: Scout Pin Share

Hey there,

I wanted to share something I've been working on lately that's no stranger to my imagination as I've been dreaming about this for an eternity quietly collecting videos and pictures from my travels to beaches and or other places with my family both carefully staged captures and natural ones.

Truth be told I'm the annoying one with the camera in everyone's face or taking pictures of everyone's food anyway so I guess it all goes hand in hand with my little passion project here.

What I am talking about is a family travel brand focusing a lot on beaches because that's where my family mostly travels. And of course being from an island myself, the beach is in my blood. You can call me a beach snob, yes, I am silently judging every beach to see if its better than the ones I grew up with 🤭

Anyway, moving on, I already had the homepage built on the domain (its called Fun Shores Ahead, btw) and since there's not real rush for stats, I thought it would be just the right time to get some marination time for Spring & Summer plan rankings both for search engines and Pinterest alike.

What This Scout Pin Is Showing So Far

On January 4, I posted several scout pins at the same time, one for each board I created. Out of that group, this pin clearly started to perform better than the others.

It has reached over 800 impressions, generated around 30 pin clicks, earned multiple saves, and even produced an outbound click, though I'm not sure how that happens from a pin with no information attached to it but ok.

What I've Gathered From This Pin

In general, that scout pin results have shown me what is popular on Pinterest. I've already gained some insight for future boards and content with more clear understanding.

Before now I didn't even know what a scout pin was and I didn't really think they made much sense. After tonight's training, things are starting to become more clear about the strategy behind gathering information from scout pins.

In addition to that, I was a bit apprehensive about posting the pins because the images are not perfect.

It just goes to show you that things don't always have to be perfect. I'm working on not being a perfectionist, lol. It took some heavy nail biting to hit the publish button but I did it. And ngl I'm picking my nails again to post it right now, lol.

For the future, I will try image studio but for now, my AI credits bank account is looking a little slim, LOL! 🤣

Anyway, all jokes aside, if you are wondering if you 'should' do something but afraid of what everyone else will say or something like that, just do it. You will be the happier person for it.
