Pinterest Update for the Week

Hi there,
Last week I shaerd some results from a scout pin I posted along with the live Pinterest training series that has been going for the past month or so? Well, I've been wanting to do this particular brand for years now and the timing just worked out so I've basically been keeping up with the homework for each class even though I hadn't been sharing it. That way it served as a sort of accountability to get in just in time for family travel season which is largely in the summer and of course other holiday periods that typically follow the school year.
Pinterest Results From The Last Month
So as you can see here in the screenshot, I've been doing this for about a month. I had put out some videos previously but they didn't seem to get much traction at first. I'll post more on that as I have a couple of ideas for videos on Pinterest but the main exercises for this training are image pins of different nature.
If you're interest, you can click here to see my initial scout pin post if you haven't seen it yet. That particular pin is still increasing in impressions along with a couple more that are just now starting to pick up traction. The scout pin experiment in general has given me a better idea and understanding of what people might be looking for which is a lot different than I initially thought.
In general, the impressions for Fun Shores Ahead on Pinterest have increased over the past month. Also, full disclosure on my posting schedule, I got a bit confused with my posts and categories that I created a lot of extra pins, lol. So I'm still in the categories phase but posting 2 per day instead of 1. I post them 12 hours apart.
Also, I've shifted some forward to start seeding my next board(s) with scout pins. So I'm following the training but not verbatim, heheh π
Am I Seeing Website Traffic Yet?
Now the big question is, after all this, am I seeing any traffic from Pinterest yet?

Side Note: If all this stats and analytics stuff confuses you, you're not alone! It took me forever to figure out how to see where traffic is coming from on my site.
I've definitely been challenging myself to figure out how analytics works. The most I would use analytics for is to see if my traffic is or is not growing and adjust my strategies accordingly.
Now I had to figure out where to find the area that broke down the platforms driving traffic to my site. And I did. The results are in the screenshot.
So as you can see, there has in fact been a little traffic coming from Pinterest. Of course not 10k visitors yet, but this shows that the process does in fact work and now its just a matter of being consistent and continuing to grow.
Overall Website Traffic
In case you're wondering, here's the website traffic overall. I decided to go back and optimize some of the better performing articles for SEO and AEO but I won't know for sure that stats on that for a while now. My goal is to get as much traffic as fast as possible without spamming, lol.
As I mentioned before, I want to beat summer holiday and really get some good stats. My ultimate goal is to possibly get some travel deals for next Fall/Winter season without having to be travelling not stop all the time. I mean, I love travelling but all the time would drive me insane and I feel like that would destroy my family's love of traveling too.
Pinterest Going Forward
Since I'm seeing certain patterns arise, I have been making some adjustments to my scheduling. As I mentioned before, I've inserted some scout pins to start seeding the next board that I will be creating once this set is through.
Another thing I want to work on is the look of the board. I've shared in a previous video how staggering different sized pins adds enough of a pattern to make it look more interesting without being busy. (You can watch the video here) I want to try a similar strategy but with videos instead.
Previously I mentioned trying videos that didn't work. Well now it seems that some of the videos are actually starting to gain a little traction. I also like how it breaks the mundane look of images. It gives just enough stimulation to snap someone out of scan mode without being too busy looking.
At this time, I'm not sure of the details for videos, but I'm just sharing something I've picked up on. I'm sure eventually videos will be slowly creeping into Pinterest more and more as well so I'm seeing this as an opportunity to get my foot in the door so to speak.
I think that's all for now. Here's a snippet of a pin I create on Image Studio. I specifically told it to make it look like Myrtle Beach. My next venture is travelling with my dog King (white boxer). See the space right there is perfect for him. It says, 'Insert dog here', don't you think? LOL ππ€£ If you have any questions or comments, lmk in the comments box and I'll see you next time ππΎπ
