Hey there,
Its been a couple of months since I started my journey building on Pinterest with Fun Shores Ahead. I have just finished Phase 1 so I thought it fitting to share my update with you and others who are interested.
Phase 1 Strategy
Phase 1 was about setting up the main categories and creating content to go in them. Now, I got some things a bit confused so I followed the training but also did my own thing.
For me I did 10 articles and 6 categories which wasn't quite the assignment but I always end up doing extra, its in my blood.
So I made 60 articles total and subsequently 60 pins with the goal of posting 1 pin per day.
Phase 1 Implementation
By the time I realized I had done the wrong thing I was already most of the way done so I just rolled with it. The thing was that I didn't want to roll out 60 pins for 60 days. The goal was to have Phase 1 done in about 30 days, so I decided to post 2 per day instead of 1.
This was not an uniformed decision. I started my Pinterest journey with a different brand. Both starting with new pages so, along with information and advice given in the training, I surmized that it might be ok to post 2 a day instead of 1.
Now I'm not making recommendations here, just posting my experience.
Did Two Pins Per Day In The Beginning Make A Difference
Honestly, between my first Pinterest page and second, I do believe the one that I posted 1 pin per day at first grew faster. However, I'm getting a long more clicks to my site with this site. The two are completely different though and I don't think Pinterest is as pet friendly as other niches.
At the end of the day I'm quite satisfied with my results. As a matter of fact, I'm about to get into how they've exceeded my expectations altogether.
Pineterest Results Over The Passed 60 Days

If you take a look at this graph, about January 10th is where I started to pick up Pinterest traffic from this process. I had posted some pins prior to test the water which is the beginning portion in December.
I guess the real goal with stats is to get to 90 days to really see what is working and what's not but you can see the growth in just over the last, 60 days.
I believe the big dip was where I posted some scout pins and shifted around some posts to seed the boards I planned to start after this inital phase. But you cans see how it picked right back up again and continues to grow.
Facebook Implementation
Before I get into my website results, I want to mention some other things I've implemented to gain some traffic. Aside from Pinterest, I've started posting content on Facebook as well.
You can see my page stats here. I'm very surprised at how quickly this has taken off. I didn't expect there to be so much interest and not all of my videos are perfect beach shots either.
I've definitely cringed a couple of times before posting so, as I've mentioned in other articles, if you're a perfectionist like me, its ok, post the content. People want real, relatable and your audience will get your brand one way or the other.
Now I'm not saying publish sloppy work. Just that sometimes its ok for it to not be as perfect as you might like it to be.
Website Traffic Results
In addition to the above, I've been working on optimizing my articles by doing things like adding FAQs, TLDRs, Summarize with AI, etc. You can learn all of the above in the training area.
At this point, I believe my site traffic is starting to take off as you can see above. Not really that much yet, but people are staying on the site, reading the content and I'm seeing some return visitors and visitors reading other pages.
Here you can see how the different platforms are driving traffic to the site. I am still surprised with Faccebook being the links are posted in the comments instead of on the main post. But I guess the system is what it is and it is working.
A new result that has popped up is from ChatGPT. I'm excited about that too as it means that my site is coming up in AI, so strategies that I'm using are working there as well.
Personally, I find the Google Site Kit circle more understandable, so if you're like me, here it is. Organic Social is growing. So the system is systeming, lol!
So What's Next?
I'm really enjoying this a lot and I can't believe I've waited so long to start. I trust and believe that regardless, now is the time that was meant for me to start sharing this journey.
I do believe that things happen in the time they are supposed to so if you are feeling impatient or unsure, breath and relax your mind. Whatever it is will happen when its supposed to happen and often times when you try rush things, it will fall through in some way.
lol, ask me what happened to the first Pinterest account experiment? I tried to rush a bit and crashed the page, lol. Not completely but it took a hit that I can laugh about now ^0^
One thing that is concerning me is that, despite my growth in other areas, my Organic Search is decreasing almost to none-existant. Now you might say that's because this is a competetive niche in the SERPs, however, initially, before I started anything on Pinterest, I was getting ranked and traffic from search.
So I will be working on that as well as some other things.
Anyway, I hope this makes sense and if you have any questions or comments please share in the comments box below.
Take care and have a productive week,
Marlinda
