My privacy policy is on my menu bar on my website and there is also a little icon on the bottom of the page to click to open the privacy policy. When I click on the bottom icon
Is the privacy policy link came with the theme that you used? Then, it means there are text there that says "Privacy Policy" but not yet a live link. You have to make it a live link by editing it.
Am I correct with the assessment?
Yes, you are correct in your assessment. Is there a tutorial out there that will show me how to do it? Still a newbie and learning as I go.
I think, what you need is a tutorial on how to edit in HTML. Try visit w3schools.com as it is the site that I know that teaches basic HTML.
Just says Privacy Page. It came with the wordpress theme. Nope, no hyperlink. Until a few moments ago I knew nothing of hyperlinks:)
You should be able to head over to your edit
Privacy page on your WordPress edit page.Once there go to the bottom where it says privacy policy, hover over it with your mouse to highlight it. Now go up to your link icon, not the one in blue but above it. Click it and input your Provscy Policy page URL.

To add the comments below, please check if it is linked properly. Hover your mouse on it and see if the url pointing to the correct one. If there is no url shown, it means it is not yet linked.

Thanks for helping. It is not linked. Just need direction as to how I do this.
