I have my own domain registered on WA and I am trying to set up a recipe on IFTTT (with Trello). I don't know what my username and password is, and IFTTT keeps saying my URL i
What is the URL that are you giving to them that says invalid? Type it in here so we can take a look. ~Jude
Two things come to mind:
1. You are entering the http/s in the field when you don't need to.
2. Or the issue might be that you have a secure site with https.
Does the field where you enter the URL require the "http" part to be added. If yes, try it without including the "s". Some sites are not set up to accept secure links. It won't interfere with security or working of your website as both http and https work to reach it.
If that does not help, contact IFTTT and ask if that could be the issue. They might have a solution because more and more sites are going secure. Let us know if that helps.

Ok, I'll try all that. I think part of it might be that I also don't know what my username and password is. Is it the admin and then what is assigned to admin?
Hmm - do you mean they want to know your website login details?
I would not be giving that out to any third party.
I am not familiar with that service. Can you attach a screenshot here so we can see exactly what they are asking for?
Someone has blogged about possible fixes here:

If you're hosting at WA, put in a support ticket and ask them about it. By default, they restrict usage of plugins and apps that have too many external connections.
Also, do you have WA SiteSpeed turned on? If so. WA hosting can take a look to see if that could be causing this issue. ~Jude
Yeah, I need to authorize wordpress but cannot figure out how. It keeps saying my url is invalid. Thanks
