Toffee dream brought to life/Will be featured in magazine.
A couple of days ago I decided to quit. I figured I had enough of trying to build my website and though to myself maybe this just isn't in the cards for me. I even got as far as canceling my billing. I guess the frustration of it all just took its toll. I didn't care anymore with whatever happened to my website. I was basically in tears, then out of nowhere I get a private message from a fellow W/A member just checking up on me. It caught me by surprise because I had not formally mentioned to this particular person that I was leaving. So in other words he checked up on me on his own.. After I had mentioned what was going on he immediately offered to help in anyway. But at that point I'd already made up my mind. Even then he still offered to help me regardless of me being a member or not. WOW. Just that gesture alone brought me great happiness, the feeling of support that was much needed and appreciated at that time. Perfect timing.
So the next day I racked my brain in what I should do next being that I wasn't going to be building a website anymore. The first thing that came into my mind was chocolate and my passion for it. How people would ask me to make them toffee. I've already had a small following from people ordering toffee from me and thats when I had my Oh YUP moment. In the past couple of days after that yup moment I was able to get a hold of the chamber of commerce in my family's town and I'm proud to say my toffee will be advertised as of July magazine issue. Not only will my toffee be in newspaper adds, I will also get a spot in farmers market and festivals in my family's town. Can you believe that? I now even had to hire someone to help me make the toffee for the upcoming events. I am so happy right now. I now realize my first niche crashed because it wasn't what my true passion was. What was once a failure in my eyes actually turned out a success because it's what led me to where I am. The funny thing is the person thats working on my advertisement asked me if I wanted to also have a website and that she can get a person to build that for me IF I didn't know how. HaHa. How ironic is that? So I said I'd do it(attempt) lol.
Moral of my story is I may not be doing all my advertisement on website BUT if it wasn't for the support of the community and this particular person then I may of just wrote it off and never would have realized that the potential of my toffee /chocolate was there all along. And YES ill be keeping my membership. Now if I can just figure out how to build site. Lol

HI Maricel, Great to hear from you. I was actually wondering how you were doing a day or two ago. Congratulations! Remember the mantra "Goal set.... one step at a time..... and never, never give!" Glad you are here with us and I am still following you! Btw I love toffee/chocolates! Looking forward to your site!
Thank you! And its great to hear from you! I will be featured in Elk Grove Times July edition. And will be in ongoing advertisement for Elk Grove Patch as of next month as well! I think I'm going to blog and have video's and clip's of my experience to show the blood, sweat, tears put into all of this.;)
Great Maricel! Looking forward to seeing the feature! Re - your new website... don't jump the gun and get worried about it now... remember... one step at a time! The best is yet to come!
Hi there Maricel, (The Toffee-Chocolate Woman.) So glad you decided to stay with the help of another member. This a great story and I am so happy for you that it worked out this way. A great example to others. All the best on the continuation of your journey.
Thank you. Im glad that I didn't cancel. Its funny how we get so caught up when we get frustrated. Thats why I think I should finish the site, (will try to build on my own) although now I have to get another domain and kinda do a blog/ video of my experiences. I really don't know what to anticipate at the upcoming festival and farmers market event. But I'm sure it will be fun to see clips off.
Hi Maricel,
I didnt know that you were considering leaving WA, I have also been having some doubts and considering leaving, My doubts are about my ability to carry on with the training Here not about the WA system but my personal discipline and concentration , plus I have been having big trouble with my WP editor and no one seems to be able to give me a solution this has been ongoing for over four months, its not much good carrying on when I cannot manipulate the pages on my websites, I given myself another month to solve the problem , I certainly dont want to leave this community because in various ways I have learned so much here in the last 6 months but if I cant build and edit my Website pages, I can't see the sense in continuing to remain a subscriber.
I hope your toffee project is going to be a success and that you have found a niche that is a passion, it helps when this is the case.
It often helps to go back to your roots to develop an idea and I wish you good luck.
I made some mango chutney this week its got a lovely flavour but its not the right consistency , I think I will have to try again it but it tastes Wonderful, perhaps it will improve its looks with age.

Mmm. mango chutney. Sounds yumm. Like I had mentioned earlier I already have a following from people ordering Toffee. Different flavors etc. I just never looked at it as a business. More for fun. They would constantly ask me when am I going to make my next batch and put in a request order.. The frustration is what caused me to just walk away from my membership here. But now I realize it was the niche. Aside from building that site, i felt the blogging was forced. As this comes somewhat naturally. I can talk about the cocoa bean, different types of choc and the meaning of certain things like 85% to 55% ratio on choc that we sometimes see on choc wrappers. The best choc in the world etc. I can go on and on. :) Btw- glad to hear from you. How are you? Your daughter, her school? Lots of catching up to do ;) dont give up. Hey maybe that mango chutney? Sell?
What a terrific story.
I''m sure with your new found motivation you'll do so well.
You could be the next Willie Wonka of Toffee?
Best wishes
I'm am so glad you found a niche you are passionate about! I think this is a really good lesson for a lot of people that do WA promo websites right away. Some people may come here already knowing a lot about affiliate marketing and website building, but more likely than not this is our first time doing this stuff.
I know you'll have tons of success with your Toffee! (even though I have not tried it it yet)
GOOD! I'm glad you got that dose of happy. Apparently you needed something different than a shot of vitamin D. :)
