Hello WA Family :) Hope your day is going good! Now I just wanted to ask you if you use traffic exchanges and what is your experience with them.

So far in my training I have not seen a mention to them, but I don't know if there will be further on.

I know we are learning how to get organic traffic for starters, but seeing your sites getting no traffic is slightly depressing, so I have subscribed to one so I can get some action :) whilst I continue with the training!

Any feedback will be appreciated. Even as to how this effects Google rankings, etc. Anything that would help and thank you loads :))

Hello Its early days I would pick on on social media platform and work it well. Be consistent.

Pinterest works well if you work on the SEO aspect as it acts as a search engine. I agree with the thoughts below that a focus on your site is the most important and actually I'd ignore the figures while I am building. Its a bit like opening the oven up every 5 mins to see if the bread is cooked , it takes longer. Good luck. Phil

Thanks Phil I love the analogy. Just thought it wouldnt hurt to drive some initial traffic, but I guess I just need to be patient at the end of the day and keep building!

Agree with advice given by Dorrie1. The sites she mentions like Pinterest and the rest may be good for investigation. They seem eager to have your content . Learn to create one marketing announcement and send it everywhere you have set up an account. Check out Linkin ( may be misspelled )
Look for individuals offer similar products. Also you may find CEO’s and owners of the companies in your nitch. Communicate, save numbers, emails and pitch what you have to offer. Do not expect 100% helpful people but an friendly email and ask first , if you can add them to your list of subscribers. You can make one announcement and use it anywhere you think is remotely interested in your blog. Work it, have fun, dream about when you will be wealthy enough to hire social media interns.
I may get a part-time job doing social media work for a Company in LA, and I am on the east side of the country.
Doesn’t matter if you are working online.

Hey Barbara thank you for your motivational answer. And wow good luck for your part time with the LA company!

Unless you are willing to waste a lot of money I would leave them alone.

You will waste so much time trying to rack up credits when you could be developing your site, unles you have the money to buy the credits. your likelyhood of getting results this way is so small it is no worth the effort.

Derek

Thanks Derek for the insight!

Do you think this info could be turned into a WA blog?

Sure thanks :)

Thanks the analogy with adding visibility to highway traffic is creative and memorable.

Thank you!

My advice is don't waste your time. People will look at your ad for the 10 seconds or so it takes to earn a credit for their ad and then move on. Same thing with safelists. The only people making any money from traffic exchanges and safelists are the owners of them

Thank you for your advice :)
