Meet Pinterest Assistant: Your New AI Shopping Sidekick

Hello WA,

I just came across something pretty cool and wanted to share: Pinterest quietly rolled out Pinterest Assistant at the end of October 2025 in the U.S., and, I think, this could be a game-changer for creators like us.

Instead of typing, people can now talk to Pinterest or show it a photo to get ideas and shop. So someone can literally say, “Show me cozy fall living rooms under $500” or snap a pic of a bedroom and ask for similar decor. So much potential here!

And here’s why this matters for us:

Pinterest is now “understanding” pins the way people talk and see. So the creators who win here are the ones who:
- use clear, high-quality visuals
- write descriptions the way people actually speak
- keep boards super specific
- add shoppable links/affiliate tags when relevant

Right now it’s only rolling out in certain regions (starting with the U.S.), so access depends where you are, but even if you don’t have it yet (me), you can start prepping your content for this shift.

People who will use the assistant will be in “I want this” mode. So if your pin fits the request, you’re in front of someone ready to click, save, or buy.

I’ve already started updating some of my pins to be more “voice-search-friendly” and specific. Think answering real questions and showing exactly what people are looking for.

Do little tweaks now which means big advantage when the rollout expands!
